Please refer to the Verification Guidelines before posting.

Please post your opinions about the run and be certain to conclude your post with a verdict (Accept/Reject). If you wish to remain anonymous, you can also send a pm with your reply to 'sdaverification' (please state clearly in that case which run you have verified). This is not a contest where the majority wins - Each verification will be judged on its content.
I verify it. As the previous world record holder, he actually beat my World Record following the game rules and got a better time than I had without breaking any rules.
Accept.
Ah, looks like we didn't even have this category yet, except for a segmented run that has a similar time and that should probably be obsoleted by this. It looks like this run is faster in most areas except for one major time saving strategy used in an area that I couldn't name (one of the last rooms before the part where everything is shadowy).

Indeed maximum casualties sounds like a category that should exist on SDA.

To be clear, you save the game twice to be able to get a reliable time off the in-game timer, right? But you don't show the in-game timer though. How is this supposed to be timed exactly?

I save and load to prevent memory corruption.

Memory corruption that causes what? Softlocking? I.e. just so you're able to finish the game?

Anyway, A/V is good (a little bit more gamma than what I guess was the default). I suppose this just looks faster than that old segmented run (that had 25 segments!) through most of it, so it's easy to be

accepted!

Great to see another run from you Samtastic!

Just to be clear - there is no gamma setting in Oddysee - it's just using a better recording program that I used back in 2022. In 2012 I used mainly Camtastia but now OBS is a much better option.
Decision posted.
