samoth, we had this route idea a long time ago, but it was much slower. good that you brought it up again, because nobody thought of it after the new escape was discovered

I dont remember anything like that being brought up before. Though if it was then dont bother testing it with the new escape, since it would be much slower.

Though if we found a way to escape the forest through the zora's river warp then this would definetely be much faster.

We need to either do a navi dive (dont know if thats even possible) or somehow unload it.

Can you push the navi button going off the edge like an ocarina dive? If so you can go to ZR first

I've tried "navi dive", if there is such a thing (Zeldaxmaster gave me that idea on one of my videos). I've tried it all sorts of ways, even with ISG. Maybe using mupen to do it frame by frame is a good idea. Also I cant think of anyway to get unloaded with just a sword and shield.

I clipped trhough a tree sorta close to the water but unfortanatel they made walls so i cant go OoB. I tried on Mupen but I couldn't trigger Navi so I gave up

If you can't do a bottle dive with Kokiri boots, why would a navi dive work. Assuming it can be done with hover boots.

Hey I just realized something, wouldn't it be faster in the new route to get the shield, then when you're in Lake Hylia instead of getting the gold scale and using that to get ruto's bottle + enter zora's domain warp, you get the bottle and enter the domain by clipping underground (lure a tekitite to a grass patch, superslide, let go of R clip underground). It seems faster and you'll skip the fishing text as an adult. Plus with the shield you can do a superslide to LH after escaping the forest in segment 3, and a superslide to the castle in segment 4. First I gotta make sure this will even work.

1. You need scale to get bottle. It is impossible to get the bottle unless you are in a diving animation.
2. There are other oobs that don't require shield, if that is faster, such as the one next to the waterfall or the laboratory.

Hey guys, so I was doing a personal-speedrun of OoT, and I came across a weird glitch. I'm using the Wind Waker OoT/Master Quest Gamecube disc for playing, and when I went to go get Nayru's Love after I did silver gauntlets early, and when I played Zelda's lullaby on the triforce, the "right song" music came up, but no fairy! What am I doing wrong? I've tried 4 times now.

Is there a 100% natural route anywhere? One without all the sequence breaks and such? I'm just asking because I have alot of trouble following the 100% route. I can't perform alot of the SB.

I know there's a natural 100% route for other games (Metroid Prime) but is there one for Ocarina? If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be most appreciated.

That's not really what I meant. Those playthroughs go in complete random orders, not even close to being a natural route speed run. I'm looking for the fastest way through without use of SB or glitches. I've searched youtube before and I haven't found anything like that. It all seems to be walkthroughs.

Anyway, I think I got the message that there isn't a 100% natural route here so I'll just keep looking in other places. Thanks for trying to help though.

Im planning on doing a OoT any% SS Speedrun.

someone help me with a route cause I wanna skip dodongo's Cavern.

This is what I'm thinking so far:

Intro
20 rupees
sword
20 more rupees
shield
equip both sword and shield
escape the forest with bridge clip
get 40 rupees from bridge chains
get egg
wake Talon
get lullaby and letter
go to kakariko
cucco collect
get bottle
get bugs from rock
botw early
use bottled bugs to play lullaby
get chus from well
exit well (be nice if deathwarp to the entrance of well)
go to graveyard
use a poe and superslide teleport from bushes
poe hover to seam if needed
shadow early
megaflip past gap
hover boots
deathwarp using a pot in the maze like room
exit shadow
back to kakariko

Heres the part where I need help.
Do I get magic as kid or adult
Can you skip the second rock as kid, if so then as kid
If not then I say adult because of the chu amount.

I don't plan on going for a world record here or anything, and I certainly don't plan on submitting a run anytime soon. I'm simply looking for a 100% route that doesn't use SB. Is that so wrong to ask for?
