What if you staircase hovered onto the platform in the center of the Jabu Jabu miniboss room. Not that it would be useful, just curious Tongue

Absolutely nothing happens. The cutscene doesn't happen or anything. You're just able to walk around on it, and see that the stone is actually very small.

Even though this is not part of a speed run, can someone link me to a place that teaches crooked cartage videos.

1. How to get out of kokiri forest without using the lost woods.
2. Any temple of time methods?

Or just link me to a bunch of different videos.
Did not have much luck on youtube except for a few.

Not what he meant at all, neither of those videos have anything to do with crooked cartridge...

*Beep* Wrong. He did not specify the bunches of videos he was looking for.

He did not specify OoT in each line either, but it is IMPLIED.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Thanks for those video links.

Suggestion: Post a link to your OOT glitches on the first post, I did not know that you guys had a site until I noticed one of the posts.

edit: Can you help me get into the water temple as a child. Is there an easier method then this?

If not, can you help me figure out the timing for the dive, and any swimming speed methods?

Do you mean on Page 1? 'Cause I don't think anyone who has a post on that page comes around that much anymore. I could be completely mistaken.
Idea for a new and faster low% route:

Note that under the current ruling items only on B do not count as items. This route uses that to it's advantage.

Not going to bother with segments, here is the skeleton route:

Kokiri Sword + Shield
Forest Escape
To Gerudo Valley
Cucco Jump
Child Gate Skip
Wasteland
Enter Spirit
Leave and get Requiem
Savewarp
Forest Escape again
To Kakriko Village
Cucco Bottle
To Lake Hylia
Golden Scale then steal rod
Ruto's Bottle + Sticks on B (by current ruling doesn't count as an item, balancing out the requiem grabbed earlier)
Play Requiem
Spirit child, using b sticks for small key
Up to chus
Up to mirror shield
Savewarp
Forest Escape again
To Hyrule Castle
Lullaby and Letter
DoT skip
Adult as normal, but when ready to go to Spirit just play requiem

Would save a few chus, and the time it takes to get to spirit temple as adult (which is obviously a fair ammount: route to GV, bridge skip, up the fortress, wall trick, gate skip, haunted wasteland as adult). You'll probably want to RBA chus as a child, but I'll leave that up to more experienced people to decide.

This is the best item count that I could get, there was in theory 255 before now:

100 GS + 8 HC + 36 HC + 24 normal C-Items + 10 Adult Trade items + 3 pre-mask items + 8 Mask + 1 Training Ground ID thing + 1 Stone of Agony + 6 Medallions + 3 Stones + 12 Songs + Epona + 3 Bullet Bags + 3 Quivers + 3 Bomb Bags + 2 Wallets + 2 Scales + 3 Strength Upgrades + 3 Tunics + 3 Boots + 3 Shields + 3 Swords + 1? Giant Knife + 2 Deku Stick + 2 Deku Nut + 2 magic + 1 Double Defense + 1 Cow in house= 250

We can BS 5 more by saying 0 strength, 0 dive, and the 3 Magic Bows (items that complement the magic arrows) but come on.

EIDT: Oh and cow was just to try and think of as many things as possible.
you're not counting the child's wallet, but you are counting the kokiri tunic and boots?

you can always use this, if you have no gauntless upgrade:

works as child, too, but I doubt, that it is easier
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Well found a video showing me how to get into the well earlier.

Also I have not tested it yet but someone suggested I enter the dungeon by going through the side of the house.

I'm assuming he meant this one (12:00)

Please tell me you aren't serious...
If you really think that's new, then you should read more of the topic and watch current runs to know about tricks that have been known for so long...

Child's Wallet isn't show as an item. If the original Bomb Bag you pick up didn't show as an item it wouldn't count there for I thought that the Child Wallet shouldn't count.

I'm making some progress with my SS. I did a 1:43 today.

Or at least it would have been a 1:43 if I didn't run into a pillar and get smoted by Ganon's sword. It was a 1:48 in the end.  Tongue

I improved all of the crap parts from my 1:51, but made a whole bunch of new mistakes that were even uglier than the ones in the previous run. I definitely won't be uploading it anywhere.

At least your making progress. Keep up the good work, you'll get an amazing run soon if you keep improving.

wut, 1:43 and still some ugly mistakes?
sub 1:30 here we go Grin
Some guy
^ Don't be silly. I'm pretty sure we need a big breakthrough to make 1:30 possible.  Tongue

1:35 certainly looks possible, but I won't necessarily wait until I beat 1:35 to submit the run. My current plan is to practise and attempt the run as much as I can for the next five months or so, then stop the run altogether there and submit my best attempt (if it is good enough - five months should be enough).
With a bit better bombchu usage you can cut out the trip to Dodongo's Cavern Completely (as well as the SUP LINK GO BUY ME A MASK dialogue). However, it may be a bit difficult and you can't mess up with a single bombchu, which can be nerve-wracking as you use them up until about halfway through the run.

Proceed as you did until after you get the 10 chus from the well. Then go directly to the graveyard and run around until Navi calls you (I haven't experimented with this much, so there may be some trigger I don't know about that makes her talk to you.) Jump up to Dampe's hut and activate ISG off of Navi's text (if you fail the ISG, she needs to call you again, which is a big loss). With a certain angle (I'll provide a video tomorrow) you can quite easily get up to the seam with 3 sideflip hovers. Then, use a bombchu superflip to cross the gap and get the hoverboots and do whatever to get to the Temple of Time. This leaves you with 6 bombchus for the adult section.

The route from here is a combination of your SS route and the Any% segmented route. Head to Kakariko for the Pocket Egg and backwalk to Lake Hylia. Use 6 sideflip hovers to get up to the fishing pond (again, I'll provide a video if necessary) and steal the rod. Head back to Kakariko, getting a stick on B on the way, RBA the Pocket Cucco for gauntlets (required to get bombs), and wake Talon. RBA Cojiro and get 5 or 10 bombs from the graveyard grass, depending on how comfortable you are with superslides.

From here, play through the trading game as you did in your run up to the Poacher's Saw. Don't RBA it yet, but take the Goron City shortcut to Death Mountain. Go up to the fairy fountain, RBA the saw and use Ocarina items (or just use the Ocarina if you got it doing the new forest escape. If you're doing this, you can RBA the saw at any time.) Get Magic and play the Prelude of Light. Head down to Gerudo Valley for the Broken Sword and play the Prelude again after RBAing it. Complete Ganon's Castle from there.

It's riskier, but saves close to 6 minutes (5 and a half minutes in your run from exiting the well to bombs plus 40 seconds from after getting magic to entering the graveyard minus 10-15 seconds walking from the exit of the well to the graveyard.)

You may be able to get close to 1:30 with this route.

I was thinking about that route and I thought it was slower but now I'm rethinking.  I think the chu usage having to be perfect is a little too much for an SS though.  Needs some testing.
Some guy
I have thought about alternative routes, but I personally think any routes that are quicker than mine are virtually un-SS-able. I certainly don't want a good run ruined by one small mistake on a sideflip hover. From the 6 minutes you talked about saving you also need to subtract the time waiting for the Navi text, the time it takes to get bombs (which is more luck based when you don't have the sword, and shouldn't waste much time in my route with my new bomb collecting strategy), RBAing the bomb slot and pocket cucco, and the time lost by not doing superslides before RBA.

With all those things considered (especially the extra luck required in bomb collecting - I hate making SS runs more luck based) I think 4 minutes is a more realistic estimate of the time saving. I honestly don't think that is worth making the run THAT much harder and more luck based, especially since I don't have as much time on my hands to complete this run as I would like.
Understandable. Just throwing it out there to keep options open.
MrGrunz is a guay
Actually now that I think about it it shouldn't be too hard.  Theres a tektite that can assist you hovering to the fishing pond and can also lower the chu usage in case you used more back at shadow.  You can also use the breath timing method for chus just like bombs just waiting a little longer (release as soon as breath 7 starts).  If you don't get bombs in the graveyard grass you can just make a quick stop of dampes grave which has a garunteed 5 drop pot.  Probably best to visit twice for 10 bombs, then you can try the grass again when you're leaving for maybe more bombs.  It will be harder but I think the time saved is worth it.
