tried a few more ideas last night. Failed a few more ideas last night (thought they all seemed interesting).
Found a new trick
Usable for 100% and all medallions. Now get on them routes lol.
MrGrunz is a guay
Suddo, a few comments for your route

*Slingshot counts as 2 items because you get both slingshot and seed bag.  Deku nuts only counts for one, so thats the way to go

*Why does the deku tree not come until segment 11?  Doing it first like most runs would save 1 forest escape (I know you still need the one to skip ocarina)

*Water Temple should just be done the way bloobiebla did it.  Its really not that hard.

*After water, you should RBA more chus because the shadow trial takes about 40 explosives.  You can get 29 from RBA then 20 from the spirit trial (so you get a little extra in case you mess up)

*You need some source of fire for the forest trial.  I suggest fire arrows.

I think I'll try this out soon.  Looks like more fun than the low% I'm used to Smiley

Here are approximate times on all the Stones, Medallions, and the Light Arrow cutscenes. I also post times that are based off of bloobedia's speedrun

Koriki Emerald
0:11:10 - 16:00 = 0:04:50
Goron Ruby
0:34:39 - 36:45 = 0:01:06
Zora Sapphire
0:56:30 - 58:03 = 0:01:33
Shadow Medallion
1:23:08 - 25:00 = 0:01:52
Forest Medallion
1:37:05 - 40:08 = 0:03:03
Fire Medallion
1:55:08 - 56:42 = 0:01:34
Water Medallion
2:02:04 - 04:58 = 0:02:54
Spirit Medallion: Note that 24 seconds of this is Raura cutscene saying go to the Temple of Time.
2:15:52 - 17:40 = 0:01:48
Light Arrow
2:18:04 - 24:33 = 0:06:29

Some Totals:
All Stone: 7:29
All Medallion: 11:11
Stones and Medallions: 18:40

Acryte's trick can't skip Light Arrow cut scene but it is note-able.

Edit: Also I fixed my route a little
MrGrunz is a guay
So I have made somewhat of a route for 100% skipping the medallion cutscenes

For forest, complete most of the temple up to beating the green poe and getting the BK.  Then exit forest, go to LW and give cojiro for the mushroom, then run back to forest and beat itand use the timer to skip the long ass cutscene.

From there, complete most of the dungeons, but don't get the medallion (exept for shadow, its probably faster to watch the shadow medallion cutscene).  Then when the time comes to go back to kid, do BA so that when you come back to adult you have FW on B.  Now get the rest of the medallions and nocturne of shadow.

nice job doing that, useful info

cutscene skip is ridiculous acryte lol
I was testing a theory for RBA and found two cool glitches. Well, they amused me, anyway. :p

First one - Delete Ruto's letter forever.
Get cucco bottle and milk bottle, RBA empty bottle for third bottle, then RBA red potion for fourth bottle.
Put bottle one on a c button and put something in it. Then get the gold scale and dive for ruto's letter.
Ruto's Letter will be in bottle one. Dump bottle one and there you go. Ruto's Letter is gone forever.

Second one - Duplicate trade items and get back trade items.

Do the same thing in the first glitch but also RBA a green potion to put a bottle on the adult trade item slot. Make sure bottle one is on a c-button.

Become an adult and talk to the cucco lady to get the pocket egg. The pocket egg will take the place of bottle one on the c-button but not in the inventory.

The pocket egg will appear in the trade item slot but will not be on a c-button. Put it on a c-button that isn't the one with the duplicated egg on it.

Now wait for the eggs to hatch. You now have two Pocket Cuccos.
Wake up Talon and talk to the Cucco Lady. You now have Cojiro, but you will keep the duplicated Pocket Cucco.

You can now finish the trade quest(I assume, I was on a DoT skip file and I could only get up to the perscription) and then show the duplicated cucco to the cucco lady for another cojiro.

If you want a duplicate of another item I THINK you can do it by turning the original item into a bottle and keeping it on a c-button, and then showing it to the person you need to.
I haven't tried it yet.

Another thing: The light arrow cutscene turns the duplicate back into a bottle.

I'm sure people could use this if they want 23 hearts by keeping a duplicate of the odd mushroom.

These are ideas on using the Cutscene skip to skip the forest medallion scene.

From Forest Temple to Shroom Guy = ~40 seconds
From Shroom Guy to Forest Temple = ~1:10 seconds
Block Room = 1:25 (Yauja's run)
Phantom Ganondorf = 50 seconds (Bloobedia's run)

Both routes start after you beat the block room

-With Cutscene:
Phantom Ganon: 0:50
Cutscene: 3:03
Total:  3:53

-Skipping cutscene:
Leaving Forest Temple: Save warping. If you are SSing this might be an issue though
Forest Temple to Shroom Guy: 0:40
Shroom Guy to Phantom Ganon: 1:40 (1:20 left on shroom)
Phantom Ganon: 0:55
Mushroom Timer: 0:25 - Y
Total: 3:40

It save 13 Seconds.

Y cancels itself: if you take 0:10 to get there then you wait 1:05 if you take 0:55 then you wait 0:10 either way its 1:15.

Edit:
If we Save warp a little earlier then we can save even more time. But I need people to agree with the 13 seconds then we work on that.

-With Cutscene:
Boss Door Skip: 1:00
Phantom Ganon: 0:50
Cutscene: 3:03
Total:  4:53

-Skipping cutscene:
Boss Door Skip: 1:00
Phantom Ganon: 0:55
Minuet of Forest: Huh?
Forest Temple to Shroom Guy: 0:40
Shroom Guy to Phantom Ganon: 1:40 (1:20 left on shroom)
Boss Door Skip: 1:00
Mushroom Timer: 0:20
Total: 5:35

this is cool as hell nice find, I'll mess w/ this later and see if anything fucked up can happen

OK forest temple cutscene skip RUNDOWN!!!! (for 100%)

Idea is to beat Meg the poe, FW, savewarp

0:40 FT entrance to shroom (-0:40 saved from regular route)
0:50 shroom to deku tree (2:10 left on shroom) (-1:30 saved from regular route)
1:25 LW lobby, block room, GSx1, entering boss cutscene (0:45 left on shroom) (-1:30 saved from reg route)
0:50 optimal boss fight (-0:05 left, heres the problem) (-1:30 saved from reg route)
3 minute cutscene skip (+0:45 saved from reg route)
+ any time spent going from ToT to shroom guy (a minute??? no idea)

so you save about ~1:45 (estimate)

BUT you got like no time for that shroom unless you do the block room 1st, but then you are saving less time because you take the elevator twice!!! butttt it is still worth it, you save like 1:30 anyways

easier in NMS cause gold skultula : )

Need to test:
- Phantom ganon cutscene stops the timer? if not, this all needs reworking.
- possible superslides maybe in the block room in B1

Tested:
- you cant stall timer using a failed warp song in the boss room cause it disabled ocarina and therefore didnt check if you cannot warp!

I DUNNO GUYS!!!

we figured this out it saves 1:33 , FW ends the mushroom timer sadly so you ahve to do block room 1st

Mp16: 2008-12-27 10:11:34 pm
ya. but first thing's first: do cutscenes stop the time of the mushroom

Also, for clarification, this does not make any changes to the route. In fact, it saves additional time because when the mushroom expires, you go straight back to the mushroom guy.

Okay also guys in 100% use the mushrooom timer for forest. Every other temple you should beat the boss and then afterwards Savewarp to the entrance and leave. Then after you beat all the temples, (and have the warp songs) put FW on B and warp from temple to temple skipping each cutscene and grabbing the medallions. The FW on B is way more efficient than the mushroom one because the timer for the other, but also is an inconvenience because it requires you have FW on B. I think this is the best way to go about all non forest temples (in general at least) especially since the timer will MAKE you wait till it is up to do this so you might end up with extra waiting time.

Unfortunately I don't think we have timers we can use as a kid for it, and we can't go back in time without beating forest... so child forest can't be fixed using this. If we were able to become a kid and go through the warp, I'm pretty sure that this would fix it.
well we've all decided it's impossible to save time with FW on B because of the ocarina problem.

But Forest Temple is guaranteed to save time using the mushroom timer. Approx. 50 sec off the original route taking into consideration the GS's collected while the mushroom timer goes down.

I'm working on the new route right now. Though I need one question answered before I can continue:
In the middle room in the Water Temple where you can raise the water level to the middle, is the GS that's in it possible to get with the Hookshot, or does it require the Longshot?
Eeeeyah!
Pretty sure it requires the longshot. I tried just awhile ago after you mentioned it on IRC and the hookshot doesn't quite make it to the token. You could bombhover up to the platform that's near it, but that probably wastes more time then coming back later with the longshot. (It'd probably take about 7 bombs or so to get up there)
Quote from UchihaSasuke:
i got a weird glitch today:

i grabbed the skulltula token with the hookshot while standing in the rotating platform and got inside the pot.

Getting inside the pot is old, it's on one of my old videos, but I didn't use the hookshot.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
how do I side bomb (and bomb chu) hover and how do i side hop hover as young link?

when I tried bomb hover, (ge IS, drop bomb and black flip mid air and let the bomb exploed while I am in middle of the back flipping)
I manage to  stay there for like a second..

and how do I do with chus?

sorry, i never watched the vid so i didn't know about it and i got the glitch randomly when playing.

Would this forest temple trick save time in NMS or not if you do the boss key skip like Bloobiebla did?
Quote from Runnerguy2489:

I don't think there's enough time on the shroom.

~1:30 to get back to forest temple
~1:08 to do the glitch past Boss Door (1:33:38 - 34:46 on Bloobedia's Run)
~0:50 to do Phantom Ganon
~3:28 total.

Unless TASing can knock off 28 seconds somewhere I think that there's no time.

I found out that you only need one bottle, but you must make sure that the bottle you will use to duplicate the egg has the same thing(fish,bug...) inside of it as the trade item bottle.

Apparently the game sees two of the same thing on C instead of an empty item slot, so when it changes the item on C, the regular bottle out-prioritizes the fake bottle.

And I also tried it again, but this time the duplicated pocket cucco turned into cojiro too, but the real pocket cucco was still on C when it was clearly Cojiro in the inventory.

This glitch is very confusing..
All right, here is the updated 100% route. (updated for adult section that is) It took a lot to put together, but I think it's pretty solid. Again, any possible improvements are always welcome.

I was too lazy to change every GS # for the improvements, but I think all 100 are in there. (I really hope so  :P)

Oh sorry, I meant more of...which is faster: doing it the way Bloobiebla did or doing this new trick? But I guess for NMS you'd also have to get the cucco egg, hatch it, get cojiro, etc. so it's probably not even close unless you actually needed those for some kind of RBA anyway.

But your times confuse me:
Quote from Suddoman:
From Shroom Guy to Forest Temple = ~1:10 seconds
Block Room = 1:25 (Yauja's run)
Phantom Ganondorf = 50 seconds (Bloobedia's run)

= 3:25...roughly the same you just outlined, even though you have getting back to forest temple as being 20 seconds faster here.

OK, now I see how the route looks and it makes sense, as you already rotate the basement out and collect other stuff on the way in LWs and meadow.
yeah, apparently FW ends the timer. Good for me though because it makes the segment slightly easier.  Grin

But it's still going to be one of the hardest segments in the game...

I made it faster because you don't have to take elevator and walk, maybe 20 secs was a little much but it does change the time.

Also the Pocket Egg could be gotten when you do Shadow Temple. If you were to save Dodongo Caverns for adult you could maybe come back after its hatched and get Cojiro. But its futile unless you can change the times expressed above.

I found another new trick lol Hoversliding and Megajumpslash

Hoversliding is also different than supersliding into a hover. I had the idea for it when ZFG MP16 and me were trying to get into the Goron Tunic shop early. You cannot put down your shield or anything. You are locked in your stance. It can be used however to start a hovering superslide in midair above or below a grabbable object, and is therefore quite unique. You can't pull your sword or anything, but if you unequip the hoverboots you are able to do other actions.

you can also combine hoversliding with megajump (remember how when you are near edge, 1st frame of jump equip hover... this is the same concept). Megajumpslash can also be used but the extra tons of height it gives you makes it a bit harder to utilize without landing on the stairs. ZFG used megajumpslash to get in. It seems easier with megajump so I just used that for the sake of the vid but here it is:Early Goron Shop(100%).

Kazooie you need to get on irc more man, it's good times! :S
Merry Chrismas =)
can somebody tell me how to join the irc?
