Can you do the Super Slide with the Stalchild in Hyrule Field? I haven't noticed if anyone's tested that yet. That would save a good bit of time if you can do it quickly.

It can be done with anything you can do the ground jump with. So you would need to do this near some bushes.

I think it works the same way. I haven't tried it with Stalchildren, though, but it works with a lot of other enemies, so I think it will with Stalchildren.

Well, how do you do it with tektite, then?

I just don't want to spend hours trying to figure out something that I can get an explanation for. Roll Eyes

Edit: Believe it or not, I found a way to get a save-warp into the Jabu-Jabu segment, so Jabu-Jabu will be 2 segments.

What you do is this:

-Get the Tektite near some grass.
-Put away your sword and hold Z+R.
-Roll toward the grass and mash A.
-Keep holding R.

Segment 7 is done, but I'll upload it tomorrow as I'm quite busy now, never a dull moment in my life. Roll Eyes

There are no real mistakes on my part, the time-losses in this segment comes from the randomness of the bubbles. What happened in this segment happened almost always, so after a while I stopped restarting the segment because of it. At least I got the chest cutscene skip in the first tentacle room. Smiley

Edit: Shit, I just realized that I HAVE to redo this segment... if I leave Ruto like I did, she wont be in place in the big room in the next segment. Lips Sealed

I've already managed to do another one ;). It's a second or so slower because I had to bring Ruto with me to one more room, but it should actually be faster overall. Grin

Yautja-Glad to hear that your new segment is faster. Nice trick after the Gold Skulltula-I normally just swam over, but that was definitely faster. Also, for anywhere that you need to climb, get a GS Token, and drop down, you can be dropping down while going through the text if you time it properly, which is pretty easy.

I did segment 8, but I'm gonna improve it some more before I move on, Barinade battle wasn't optimal. I'll upload it together with segment 7 when it's done.

Segment 8, Part 1

Segment 8, Part 2

As always, keep checking the links till they work.

The first part of segment 8 went very well, in it you can see my best Barinade battle so far (sadly). The second part contains many small mistakes, this is mostly becuase that this segment was rushed out. Please tell me if you think it is good enough. If it isn't, I will take some time and redo it tomorrow, otherwise, I will move on to the hardest segment in the run.

Segment 6: Even with the missed slash, which is forgiveable since you pulled it off very quickly on the fail and the actual achievement, that segment was ownage.
Segment 7: A few minor things, but very good.
Segment 8-1: Ok, instead of getting hit by the bubble...can't you turn and roll the rest of the way at the start? Kinda sucks you have to do the full dungeon, though, for 100%. Nice Barinade battle, but one boomerang toss near the end was a bit off.
Segment 8-2: Was fine, just minor stuff...really.

I will have to question why you try to backwalk before the first door if the bubble is going to consistantly hit you... Still, it did look mostly good even if the second part did have a few silly mistakes(misplaying Sun's Song, missing with magic beans, etc.). I think it's a good segement that's acceptable, but if you're dissatisfied, the worst a few retries can do is waste time.

I thought that Piece of Heart near the frogs was going to be gotten on the second trip up the river with a cucoo. Did you time it out to be faster to get this way with the boomerang? It seems like this could very well be faster; I was just asking.

Mhm, segment 8-2 has quite a lot of silly mistakes. I know they're minor, but i think you lost about 20 seconds cause of'em. I'd try redoing the segment, but it's up to you. It's not bad, it's just that it can be better.

-It might be best to just not backwalk to the first door.
-You missed the switch twice.
-Good job with that shield drop hop.
-You missed the door leading to the third tentacle.

Segment 8:

-Good Bigocto fight and followup.
-You can stun both jiggly things at once, but I'm not sure if it saves time.
-Barinade battle was awesome.
-Sun's Song was slow, but okay.
-After you jumped off the log, you were a little slow.
-Torch lighting was fast.
-The Magic Bean spot miss cost maybe two seconds.

So you don't get & plant all 10 beans from the sales man?
I don't know but...getting all 10 beans is like getting all 100 skulltullas or all non-required item upgrades. Well, maybe I've just missed the rest of the beans in your route plan.

The thing is, beans are a tool, like deku nuts, to get you heart pieces. If you can skip a bean, well, who cares. You still bought at least 1 bean so that it would show up in your inventory. You can't collect "bean plants".

I'm pretty sure it's faster or equally fast, plus, I get the quick red rupee from the stream. It will be useful in the Lost Woods segment where I will spend 80 (!) rupees.

I haven't been able to do any running today and I probably wont for a few days....

It's because my glasses broke and I can hardly see without them, so running under these conditions is pretty much out of the question. Sad

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. How exactly did you break them? BTW, get titanium framed glasses next, they are WAY more durable. I once broke 4 pairs of glasses in one week (counting the ones that I had technically already bought but the lady broke them right before handing them to me while adjusting them) and in the end settled on titanium frames. They are cool looking and haven't broken yet (although I need new lenses soon as my eyesight sucks a lot).
