That makes no sense b/c there is really no use for the glitch if not to get into the great fairies fountain without bombs. If you had bombs already it would be faster to just blow the one rock up and then the great fairy door wouldnt it

Hey guys, I have successfully been able to pull everything off in the new route pretty well, however there is one thing

When I did RBA on bombs it just made my bombs into a bottle with a bug, and later I had then used cujiro to get the bomb bags after and I was still not able to get any bombs to drop/ buy them. Was able to buy arrows though.

After you become an adult you have to make sure the the symbol of the bombs never leaves the c-buttons. If it does you cannot get it back on. your bombs are supposed to turn into a bottle with bugs so that the game thinks you have bombs and lets you get bomb drops. Then as long as you keep the bomb symbol equipped to a c button, you should be able to use bombs

Hm, well the thing is that they did not leave my c-buttons actually. But when I went around trying to get drops of them from bushes/rocks none ever dropped and it would not let me buy bombs. Any ideas? lol

You must have gotten really unlucky. Try the Pots in Dampe's Grave, there's a pot in there that always gives you a bomb drop if you have those requirments.

maybe having an empty bottle on the bomb slot has an effect.

i didn't test since i just empty my bottle when i do that RBA.

chances are you just had bad luck. the first time i did it i thought i did something wrong. i had to throw probably 35+ pieces of grass before i got one bomb drop

doesn't matter whats in the bomb slot as long as something is there.

Alright, so I've got most of my run down so far, I guess I just had bad luck with the bombs because they work fine now.

However, on Ganon, when he knocks your sword away, how do we hurt him since we don't have the hammer?

You should superslide into the Ganon cutscene so you can keep the sword on B.

Then after that you roll under his legs then crouch stab his tail. Continue doing this until he's dead.

For the rupee route, would it be faster to skip buying the stick, and just talk to Mido and kill a deku baba thing? It seems like it would save about 5-7 seconds from buying it.

We won't be getting the stick at all. The owl skips are nearly impossible to do in real time.

I don't think anyone has compared the two methods of getting sticks in the rupee route. Although I don't think we should skip the owls, we should remember that buying a stick in the rupee route saves several seconds when buying the stick for the bridge skip, since you can skip the text the second time you get a stick.

We don't buy a Deku Stick as Adult Link anymore. It's now possible to Hookshot over to the other side of the Gerudo Bridge without Infinite Sword Glitch.

You can do Ocarina Items with a lot of items, including the Kokiri Sword.

So the route seems to be finalized unless some great new trick is found like fishing pond with no bean or scarecrow. btw, the bean way has tested and found slower than scarecrow right? Could you maybe skip hookshot if doing bean, maybe do mega flip to cross bridge, or is that still slower?

How much time would the owl skips save on a TAS?

You can't get the Magic Bean without blowing up the rocks in front of Zora's River. So it's way slower than getting the Hookshot and learning the Scarecrow song.

You just barley miss the other side of the Gerudo Bridge if try to megaflip to the other side of it.

I think the Owl Skips save about 25 seconds or so in a TAS.
