Amazing work on all the tricks! I haven't played OoT in like 2 years, so I'm very inexperienced at it right now. But seeing this stuff makes me wanna go back and attempt to find new tricks.

You should really try all of these. The first time I did DoT skip I was just like: "This is awesome."

I'm currently thinking up a SS route, which currently involves getting the Requiem of Spirit, since Link can not pass back through the DoT without saving.

BTW: I stole the rod and I caught the fisherman's hat while doing so! LOL

Nice job acryte. Way to make segment 6 even longer ::).

So when we superslide to kokiri with the odd potion, we need to grab a deku stick from a baba, then after getting the saw, megaflip to the bridge, exit to hyrule field and kill yourself for deku sticks on B. Now superslide to GV, epona skip, bottle back on B and get boken sword/RBA.

EDIT: Anyone have any ideas for getting sticks from a baba? Throwing bombs will get nuts, and we don't have a sword. We might end up having to buy one Sad

EDIT: If someone knows/can think up a way to get past the two rocks on DM without bombs it would very much help

-Get Kakariko Bottle
-Go to Lake Hylia, get bugs, and set scarecrows song with Ocarina Items glitch
-Take the owl back to hyrule castle
*Optional Save in Well
-Get ruppees off chains
-DoT skip

Segment 4:
-Head to Kakariko for Pocket Egg, Shield, Hookshot

Segment 5:
-Head to Lake Hylia and reset Scarecrow Song with Ocarina Items
-Steal the Rod and leave Lake Hylia, get Deku sticks on B after climbing up the ladder in Hyrule Field
-If it becomes night while traveling to Kakariko, RBA with pocket cucco outside of kakariko, otherwise inside
-Wake up Talon and get Cojiro
-Finish DC up to bombs
-RBA with Cojiro
-Head up the mountain towards Goron City and enter the lost woods warp
-Get Odd potion and go back to Goron City, hookshot up and get back to kakariko. Then roof jump over to the hag's shop and get the odd potion
-Superslide to Kokori forest and enter the lost woods to get the Poacher's Saw
-RBA with the poachers saw to get songs
-Enter Goron City warp and head up the Death Mountain to get magic
-Equip Master Sword

I've been trying for hours. I fell in the void a whopping 44 times and my hands hurt. Almost in there with 3 of the 44 tries.

I think the SS route is the same as segmented, except with the following steps added at the most appropriate times:

Child Link:

- Don't get the bottle from Kakariko
- Go to Zora's Domain
- Play Diving Game and get scale
- Get letter in bottle and show to King Zora
- Get Farore's Wind
- JJB early
- FW in JJB
- Go to Spirit Temple
- Learn Requiem
- FW back to JJB

Adult Link:

- Warp to Desert Colossus from Temple of Time
- Backtrack across Haunted Wasteland
- Walk up to gate and get caught by guard
- Exit Gerudo Valley to Lake Hylia

It adds a lot of steps, but with the amount of dungeons and cutscenes skipped I think this is the fastest route (feel free to prove me wrong). The forest exit should definitely be done in an SS, since it is so early in the run, and it isn't too hard.

Yes the skip is tough, but you should definitely watch acryte's tutorial if you are really having trouble. It makes the trick so much simpler

Remember, you don't need bombs for magic

I'm sure with megaflipping, It's even easier now.

Because you already are traveling in that direction, luring the tektites adds about 1 minute onto the time it takes.

No. Saving with anything else but the sword on B will delete the master sword, so you need to kill yourself. Getting to kakariko with sticks on B after night is unacceptable, don't even mention it.

Sorry, I misread it. But still, your route steals the rod twice. Tsk tsk

Although you can skip bombs now with acryte's trick, its still faster to get them. Superslides, fastest 1st cycle ganon, and it takes forever to get the damn tektites up the mountain, and even after months, I still haven't been able to do the tektite hover on console.

though you do lose superslides. But mark it for a min% I guess. Also on ganon bombs don't give you fastest 1 cycle. It is fastest to shoot the arrow and then jumpslash, and then crouchstab and Ztarget and cancel it with Cup to activate sword glitch

I am uploading a video. It takes 1:45 to get all the way up, and you can subtract the time it takes to get there normally, it's probably around 1:10. Plus I wasn't luring them until 10 secs in, so it's about 1:35 of tektite luring

Hell, you could postpone until adult link so you can save in dodongo's cavern since the rock is gone.

As you can see it will only take about 1 minute extra to get the tektites up the mountain. As an adult you can even save in DC before then so that you can do this quickly and pull off the trick. This trick is followed by a pretty easy seamwalk (can be done 100%) and then the jumpslash into the GFF.

I may know a faster method for the tektite hover. I got a tektite up onto the steps where the rocks are that normally mush be blown up. Technically it isn't as far as the other spot, and if we used a tektite hover and then a megaflip, the rock might even help push us up too so we can get up top even faster. Not sure if it's doable with 1 tektite or even 2, I'd have to check.

I dont think losing superslides would be too big of a hit since we only use it twice in the whole run and it saves about 30 sec each. Plus the reason I try to avoid abusing death is because I dont like seeing it in a run, but if not having to steal the rod again ends up being faster then so be it

I rlly hope you can find this kind of glitch because it would unequivocally make the non bomb route faster.
I already have a non-bomb route that i wrote b4 I realized that you cant get up DM without bombs (or at least i thought). Are you also definitely sure this can be done as an adult? because it will be out of the way as a child

I think it may be possible to get to the bridge as adult link without bombs...

You can get on the stump. Also the ropes of the bridge are hookshottable. Also, there is a "secret ledge" around the stump that we may be able to sidehop off of before we fall...... ill upload a vid of what I mean. Even if it's TAS only it would be good to know.

Ok, I think a TAS will do better skipping bombs, but a speedrun would be faster getting them.

EDIT: Probably doesn't matter now, but I have been able to stand on and sidehop off of the secret ledge. Couldn't get to the bridge though.
