btw just a little info on how i'm messing up, evidentally SOMETHING is going wrong cuz he does NOT end up on the ledge of the temple

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

I should add that many techniques that require aiming yourself at something are easier at day time. In a real run, though, you just have to take the time of day you get, but it is helpful to practice in day time.

I think my biggest problem is knowing when to take of my hover boots while sliding down the big statue thing.

I can get up there decently but no matter when i take off the boots i always fall down to the ground

the timing of taking off hover boots doesnt matter all that much. maybe your problem is that you're holding the joystick down the whole time when falling to the seam. only hold it untill your second drop (possibly third).

Considering it's done from inside the master sword chamber and uses hoverboots, probably is wishful thinking. Also looks like an emulator (fraps?), so until someone decides to duplicate it or attempt it fro the other side, for all I know it's not legit.

yeah, its just wishful thinking. its a useless glitch. besides, you can't superslide in the Temple of time as a kid. oh, and i posted that vid :).

Really we just need some way to get bombs on B as a kid. There's no guarantee it would work going the other way though; actually I think it's pretty unlikely.

Unless it can somehow work with Young Link, I don't see it of any use in a speedrun.

Hey I'm just casually playing through the game at the moment and i noticed something, when yautjaelder is in the bomchu bowling alley, and gets a prize he doesn't want he wastes all his bomchus. It takes 21 seconds to waste them all and it takes... hold on, i was just trying to time the difference but it wouldn't let me exit the door but just a second ago i walked straight out in the middle of the game. interesting, has this ever occurred with anyone else? i'll try to recreate the glitch.

Hey guys. I have a small question on BA and RBA. So if I get this right, you get the Odd Potion as a kid, became an adult and trade until you get the Broken Sword, then RBA for the medaillons, Light Arrow cutscene, RBA for one-shot Light Arrow?

not exactly. You get odd mushroom as a kid, become adult, trade up to poacher's saw, RBA for zelda's lullaby and nocturn of shadow, get broken sword, then RBA for medalions.

Is there a segmented route for such a run? I know there's a ss one because it's pretty much like the TAS.

im new here, i have only read to page 27, but i know a gdt "trick" that might help in a single segment. it is fine if you already know this, but it is so simple you guys might not have figured it out.

in the room with the slingshot, if you deliberitly miss the platform and climb up to the ledge to get the slingshot just from the ground, you dont have to shoot the ladder to get out. i dont know if this is faster, i just do this whenever i do gdt because i dont like oot cutscenes

I don't like climbing up vines either. I believe it's faster to shoot the ladder since you're right next to it after the cutscene if you jumped.

Ah, how odd the odd mushroom is. They're really tasty though.

Yes, someone tested it a long time ago. It's faster to use the ladder.

im spending a stupid amount of time on this thing LOL anyway i updated it with fancy navigation menu, headers, a happy picture of the bottles, and a new chart (item slot replacement)

I can confirm that too it's faster to climb ladders because you can move while those cutscenes are on. just when you shoot ladders with your slingshot move forward and you can done this room very guikly.

added left-side equipment. it took a long time to figure out and i had to use a memory searching program (TSearch)

left-side equipment is really weird :-/

So, for RBA SS, how do you warp after getting bombchu's or after Jabu Jabu? I played through the game, segmented, so save warping wasn't a problem (moon jump also helps in some cases lol).

Also, killing Ganon with the Hookshot is so much easier. X( I haven't been able to kill him with a one-shot arrow and crouch stabs (but maybe I should target the jump slash at him first).

IIRC, the ISG can deal an easy 1 cycle, so use that.

Well, the problem is that you can't really do that without the hookshot. You'd have to jump over and set up the ISG on the same platform as Ganondorf, and I'm not sure if there's enough time.

Kazooie ISG'd, then Ganon lost the game of tennis. Hookshotted over to Ganon, and ended him.
