When you say 100%, do you mean like getting all the hear pieces, the big goron sword, and all the items? If so, that would take forever. The normal run is barely within the limit, wouldn't a 100% run go waaay over?

This thread is for the discussion of a 100% run and what a 100% run should be in Ocarina of Time. I have no interest in doing this type of run, but Fierce has expressed interest. So have fun talking about it.

In general, any item that improves your character's abilities should be collected. Things that don't, such as map, aren't necessary.
I can understand getting 50 Skulltulas for the piece of heart, but the other 50 don't improve your character's abilities in any way. Is there any reasoning for this or do you just feel like the run isn't 100% without all 100 of them?
Obviously there would not be a point doing this in a SS. But a MS would possibly be indeed entertaining to watch since you can redo "certain" areas. Im guessing: sub 7 MS.
that makes sence, but of course if anybody is also trying to get the bounty at TG with this while hoping that nobody else does a run giving it to them by default (not likely) then they would have to do the masks anyway...leaving a lot of room for somebody else to come and improve upon it...so basically with this the runner will have to choose.
Above where the cage and the block is in the Shadow Temple for example...Everything is still under debate in my head I'm not sure what I should and shouldn't do in this run....
For the skulltula? I got on the boat and used the longshot to kill him and get the coin. Never had to play the scarecrow's song!
oh...duh... see I haven't done 100% in a long while. I should have known. But is there others you would need it for anyway?
Questions...how many magic beans do I need? I know for gold skulltulas there is 56 outside and 44 in the dungeons...arg so hard to understand.. like how I return as a kid to the deku tree after I beat it to get the one skulltula with the boomerang maybe I can skip some the first time I go in and sadly I may have to push the block down to get there quickly...back...and dodongos cavern some of the skulltulas are only possible of being gotten as an adult.
Btw for those who are a little confused also you can help me out finding easy places to get money fast such as walking on the chains when the drawbridge is down in the entrance of hyrule castle.
