I was just wondering has anyone completed one recently and what would it take to get it posted and saved on SDA?  I know there are some out like an any% of youtube done in 11min or so, why haven't any gotten posted on SDA yet?
Thread title:
Willing to teach you the impossible
This is all on the runner. If they post a video on Youtube, it does not mean they submit to SDA. The general rule is if it is not on SDA, then no one submitted it to SDA.
I know there was one completed for a bounty 5 years ago, but absolutely no one has even attempted formally speedrunning such a popular and well known game before?  Not even a formal oblivion thread made to discuss strats?
Check this thread: https://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/100_oblivion_bounty_thread_wtf_done.html
This has been like the main thread about the game (How did you not find this thread yourself?). It's about the 100% bounty run and also about my own run I did without large-skip glitches (Which I still would like to improve sometime...), I believe there was also talk in there about the 11 minute run (And I think he even made that run faster at some point, below 10 or something?).
Yeah I saw it and favorited the 100% of armacham run of it posted on dailymotion.  The main thing was that it was forever ago, but i can switch to that one.  Why didn't armacham submit it though?

Because the run wasn't all too solid. I think you should read the thread a little better because it's mentioned in there Cheesy

EDIT: Oh I also just remembered that back then there was like a kind of max limit on the length of a run to be able to be submitted to SDA and I think that rule was still present when Armacham finished his run.
kk he also cut wait screens and loading screens, and its like 24 pages of stuff.  Yeah and if theres a time limit to the run i don't think a 100% would be feasible simply because of the master training quests (imagine powerleveling athletics lol).
The time limit rule doesn't exist anymore now, I believe it's more like if the community finds such a long run worthy enough Smiley

By the way, you're thinking about running this game? Would be awesome Smiley Maybe it'll inspire me again to improve my own run!
I am doing a casual 100% atm, however i do plan to dupe and glitch, but do it at max difficulty.  I'd rather not divulge too much information about my run but right now its just casual running to get a feel for the quests, optimization would come later.

I'm making it through my first casual practice run and I was wondering if anyone could explain how to do the item jumping glitch where you jump on an item repeatedly to jump high into the air.  It can save time on the light the dragonfires quest if you fast-travel straight to the temple district after paradise and item jump into the temple of the one.  Anyone know this glitch?  I know I saw it utilized in the fallout 3 speedrun which has the same engine.

EDIT: Heres the link to a video of it.  The poster explains how to item jump in the comments, except there was a typo and I still can't get it.

That's my video Smiley The typo is "ground" but that should've been pretty obvious I think.
Well, I don't know how else to explain it :/ It was pretty trick to do consistently to reach such heights. Maybe they've patched it?
You need to jump before the item and grab it (When you're on the item you can't grab it) and then at the peak of the jump (Or just after when you start falling down) you can jump and grab it again, repeat.
Ok, ill keep at it then ty.
