Uh, no. There's nothing smart about the DMC3 enemies on DMD, all they have going for them is their ridiculous damage resistance that requires you to hack away at each of them for a minute straight, unavoidable DTing that gives them even more of a ridiculous handicap and the ability to kill you in 2-3 hits even from max lenght lifebar.

I agree entirely with this guy.  DMC3's enemies are hardly brilliant.  They just attack more often, Lusts get a new uppercut, and their attacks do ridiculous damage.  I'm currently stuck on mission 18 DMD and it ain't pretty.

But DMC1, now THAT game had good enemies with plenty of variation and attacks among each type that worked incredibly well given the pacing and the action the game provided us with.  A good A.I. in my book is something that maneuvers through the environment well and attacks in such a manner that it not only capable of consistently keeping the player on his toes at all times, but make the player forget that they are CPU opponents at times.

Let's not forget that on a cosmetic level, they're honestly a lot more horrifying and unnerving than anything that DMC3 can bring us too.  Nobodies?  Marionettes?  Fetishes?  Frosts?  These are frightening demons and creatures.  Hell prides and giant chess pieces don't do much for me.

Granted, that's straying from the discussion at hand.
