:P, I knew that those points that I made weren't going to be 100% accurate, when I'm writing something like that up on the spur of the moment, I dont' trust my own continuity...

I guess when I said innovation for the Gamecube lacking a DVD player, I wasn't talking about the game experience (which is what people here are for!), but more along the lines of American's catching onto 1 device, multiple functions.

In all honesty, I love my Gamecube to death, and watch my DVD's on a computer or our DVD player, but seriously...

If you take away all the extra crap on an Xbox or PS2 so they're just for gaming, it does drive the cost down...

Nintendo thinking that a lower total cost would cause more incentive to buy, does not neccessarily do that.  While the Dreamcast was dying, the price was lowered to $100, and it still didn't sell.  Most purchases are based off of a company's recent track record (dependant on what the mainstream thinks...).

The end result:
1) God hates fanboys who are retarded in their views (worded extra carefully...)
2) People will shell out for extra functions
3) The mainstream is retarded...

That's all I've got to say... again...
but like many have mentioned, nintendo has good ol' reliables that will keep people buying. Super smash bros is good enough to get a revolution for me :). As well as many other goodies.
