Hello everyone! My name is Bazooka Penguin and I am new to speed running. Currently I really want to speed run Majoras Mask on my wii. the only problem is I don't know how to get the Japanese Version. I've downloaded HomeBrew onto my Wii, I have Gecko 1931 on the HomeBrew channel thing, and then I don't know what to do from here. Please any help would be wonderful! Thanks and have a nice day

I wouldn't worry about getting the Japanese version yet. There is a lot to learn in the run that you're able to practice in the English version.
You don't want to go through all the trouble to get a Japanese Version then not want to run it anymore.
Just focus on the run on whatever version you have, and when you want a better time, transition over to Japanese.
A big hint for speedrunning:
1 step at a time.
Is there a place or site that I can study the routes so I can practice on the English version?

You can find out a lot of stuff on Majoras Mask in a lovely place called
ZeldaSpeedRuns.com
BUUUUUUUT
They are having problems right now.
My next guess would be to google the questions you ask, or watch runs of it (SVA, EnNopp, TheifBug) and do independent research.
I love EnNopp! I watch him all the time, But arent the routes different for english and japanese? like the fairy location and stuff like that?

I just looked up the version differences, and from my knowledge, there isn't.
There are definitely version differences, but you should learn with what you know first.
Much like OoT 100%. The fastest version is the 1.1 J-NTSC for the N64, but a lot of people who picked it up this past month is running on other versions. Purely because they don't want to go through the hassle of getting something like that in case they don't want to.
Either way, in the end if you were to run any% starting with Eng, you'll still learn a lot about the game, and there is a LOT to know about it.
There will be minor differences when you swap to JP, but by that point, you should be experienced and collected with the game that it won't be a big problem.

But if you still want to run on JP straight off the bat, ESPECIALLY since you already went through the effort to get all the stuff for it, you can use this. http://forums.zeldaspeedruns.com/index.php?topic=1271.0
This should explain everything you need to get the Japanese version for MM. Just substitute OoT for MM, and work your way from there.
Have fun!
thank you for all the help! I really appreciate it!

Hi, Im new to speedrunning and wanted to do a any% run for a game that released today. "Scarf" ( I got early access to the game so have been practising after I finished it and got down to what I think is a good time) I will continue to improve the run over all in the future where I can. How does one go about submitting a run for a game that isn't listed.
thank you for your time and patience.

*I hope I put this in the right place*
I see you've made a submission already so you must have found it.
yep thankyou lot Smiley trying my  best now
