I found a very easy way to perform Quake 2 bunnies. I found this when I got frustrated from doing the old-fashioned helix jumps people on the first thread were talking about. This is how you do them

1. Run then jump

Note. Right when you go in the air, start pressing step right and step left repeatedly, and keep jumping to extend your bunny hops.

2. Keep doing this and you'll see how fast you can go Wink

Also, if you do this jump just once, you can extend a normal jump a lot, so you can break sequences on some rooms.

The 'old-fashioned helix jumps' is the ultimate Quake 1 technique. The name of that other thread is a bit misleading. Quake 2 bunnies are totally different.
I got bad news for me, good news for you. :-/ The Quake bunny hop can be performed on Quake 2, except to start it, do a diagonal jump, running only a couple of steps, then start the jump. That's it! Wink
