I actually think this is pretty cool, something to take us back to the good ol days. Would even be cooler if more devs followed suit and started to make games for the old consoles again, I would like to see another SNES vs. Genesis rise up again, plus, it would be even more awesome if they actually started to make the consoles again (doubtful, but, I would like to see it)

They could make SNES games again in a sense, being that the Revolution will play games from all the old consoles...
Well, I always knew that Sega wanted to return to the console business, but, "this is ridiculous!"
Or the most brilliant damn thing you can think of! Imagine how funny it would be if the 360,PS3, and Revolution all got there asses kicked by this return of classic hardware. Sure it sounds farfetched, but it'd still be funny.
This is a first. Bringing out a new game years after the console is obsolete. Pure genius, or tomfoolery.
Japan does this all the time. Many of these games are good and in popular series, too. This is even disregarding the rereleases on obsolete consoles that they do.
They must have taken forever on this translation, because I heard this news so long ago that I thought it already had to have been released a long time ago. This has nothing to do with Sega or anything. This is a couple of guys in the romhacking/emulation scene who really love Super Fighter and the Taiwanese dev team behind it, and want to localize one of their games, console or feasibility or profitability be damned. The reason it costs so much is the same reason why concessions cost so much at high school band competitions and the like. They know that almost nobody will buy the game/food who isn't a personal friend anyway, but those who are, would still buy even with somewhat inflated prices.
Anyway, depending on if it's worth it, I might potentially play this game. But only after the rom is dumped. Oh, sweet irony!
