I just had a bad experience in looking at the Gamespot forums. I know, I know, I shouldn't have clicked that link, but I couldn't help it, my curiosity got the better of me. Anyway, shortly after a response to a somewhat tame flame war over whether the 360 or the PS3 is going to offer the superior next-gen experience (with maybe two or three Revolution references in the entire seven page thread), one poster said this and shattered a portion of hope I still held about the majority of the human race:
"yup..Nintendo is a company that will go down about 5-10 years if they not soon will think about to evolve their products...because I already think that we can wait for ps4 in the forums in about one year and what will Nintendo do to that time ...hmm there is only one way ..down!!"
He says that Nintendo needs to evolve their products... And the Revolution isn't doing this how? The other two systems have identical controllers in new shells, and Nintendo needs to evolve? What?
In the very next sentance, he even mentions the PS4. Being so utterly predictable isn't showing an evolutionary stagnation? We don't even know the Revolution's true name yet, Nintendo's cards are being played so close to their chests. sony and Microsoft have nothing but stronger processors and more powerful graphics and HD support.
Who needs to evolve?
I'm sorry for inflicting that stupidty here, but I needed to expel it. Out with the bad, in with the good... Out with the Gamespot fanboys, in with the SDA inteeligent community...
