It's-a me, Stalin!
I know 100% runs have been around for ages, but now next-gen has arrived, what about Platinum Trophy/All achievements runs? Lots of games have some very interesting Trophies/ Achievements, some probably impossible in a speedrun, but I think this category would invite a new audience - the Trophy/Achievement whores. I'm not expecting 100% positive feedback, but I just wanted to get this out there.
Thread title:
TIOLET!
Multiplayer only achievements, getting achievements before doing the run makes it impossible to redo them (at least for the PC version of Live, probably the same for 360), and just generally as interesting as watching my toenails grow.

No.
Waiting hurts my soul...
I think you can make a new account in order to collect the achievements again.  However, I'll have to agree with Kibbo here that this won't work, but on a different point than it not being fun to watch.

I think the majority of those achievements and trophies aren't meant to be interesting as much as they are meant to waste your time trying to get them.  Trying to speedrun the (hypothetical) "duke of york" achievement where you have to march 10,000 men to the top of the hill one by one then march them back down does not lend itself well to speedrunning.  I think there would be more threads of "I'd like to run this game for achievements", "sorry it'd take too long/no way to speed this one achievement up" than would be productive.
I think that something like doing all Achievements will definitely not work.

But I guess that perhaps 1 specific Achievement could maybe possibly work (And of course it should be full speedrun worthy, not some short simplistic dull Achievement like "Perform 10 combos" or something...). The ones that come to mind right now are the ones from Ninja Gaiden 2, where you need to complete the whole game by using only 1 weapon (There are 6 weapons if I remember correctly, so that would already make for 6 additional categories, heh).

Of course this could make for quite a bit of additional categories, Mike will be thrilled!
Fucking Weeaboo
Mike was kinda against achievements:

IMW: The latter, I don't really see a point of adding achievements as an SDA category. Most of them are incredibly arbitrary, and in many cases, achievements in the same game conflict with each other.

For PC this won't work since you get a cd-key to activate your game on your account. And once that key has been activated it can't be used again, and you can't deactivate it either.

I guess it's only an option for the console users then.  That sucks that you can't reset your account information on PC.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
one achievement that sort of lends to speedrunning is sending the garden gnome into space from hl2 ep2, actually getting all the achievements there isn't bad for a "100%" definition.
sda loyalist
It's a shame about the feeding times thing for The Maw, because all the others (almost) come naturally from playing for 100%.

I like this idea, I can think of an example with Mirror's Edge, where there's a Trophy for completing the game without shooting an enemy.

Obviously, lots of games would be impossible to Platinum under the limit, but with PSN games (and XBLA) I can see this being more successful.
Joke of all trades
to be honest, 100% runs are liked, but more often than not people don't always watch all of them.  e.g. in the diablo 2 100% the runner repeats the same area 6 or so times to level up.  very boring, even for dedicated fans, and to have more of this kind of thing would really be, well, a bit pointless.

Also there is often arguments as to what  a 100% run should be.  so bringing in a 1000% run (or whatever you'd call this) would just cause sooo many long and boring discusion, further seperating out what "some random guy who played the game" would want to see.  with the two or three people actually planing/running the game would.
