(good stuff... I'm guessing you need to start over your segmented progress now though...? <_<)
I've already started over, actually. I have segment 1 finished for now, with segment 2 and the rest on hold until I'm done testing/timing stuff. I wanted to finish segment 1 because with that segment I manipulate the Jinjo color pattern as well as Klungo's potions. I don't see segment 1 changing, so getting it done isn't a problem.
On another note, I did a 100% RTA run today. I got 5:24:37 real-time, which came out to 4:23:34 in-game. I haven't done any real-time timing, so the route I used was surely not optimal for RTA. I'm focused on my segmented run so I don't plan on doing another RTA run. I did it just for fun and, IMO, it wasn't a very good run. Obviously it can be done faster, with both better routing and execution.
I'm relatively new here, and I was just wondering if anyone uses this small mumbo glitch as part of their runs? Or if it's even usefully for the small amount of time that it saves.
That glitch only works if you've used Mumbo once in a level. There is only one level in the game where you have to use him twice (HFP). Also, yes, I've been using that glitch for a long time.
Really? The only time that glitch doesn't work for me is the first time I visit Mayahem Temple. Other than that, it works for me even if I haven't visited him before.
Hmm, perhaps I'm wrong on this one. Just worked on CCL the first time speaking to Mumbo. I suppose I've been standing in the wrong spot. That's my bad.

Just to add to it, I'd guess the reason it doesn't work the first time in MT is because you don't speak to Mumbo the very first time by pressing B; you walk up to him and the cutscene triggers by itself.
That's what I was thinking, glad I could help out with that small little part (: I'm planning out doing a 100% RTA (once I finish routing and all) so I've just been messing around with finding shortcuts.
Also, how's your segmented run coming along Pjii? Can't wait to see it (:

Uh...

^Pretty much that for right now. Still seeing if I can come up with more improvements.

You need him twice in Grunty Industries don't you? Or did they find a way around that? Sorry if I missed something I'm a long time lurker.
I found a new skip with the help of Pjii in Hailfire Peaks. It's uncertain whether or not it saves time. Basically it lets you get the "split-up jiggy" by the Colosseum without doing the quest for it.
I found a way to skip van in any% and only transform once in 100%:
I also found a way into the Superstash safe without doing the quest for it. This saves a lot of time and changes the routing a lot for Cloud Cukooland:
So I think I've said this in your stream chat, but I think it's very important to find a way to get into Wasteland and Terrydactyland as early as possible, as many of the backtracking collectibles in the first four worlds require moves from TDL, and you can get early clockwork kazooie eggs as well to break apart Witchyworld, and probably GGL and JRL as well. This should be useful for both any% and 100%
For 100%, we're definitely not finishing Mayahem Temple in one go, as there's a required revisit to get stoney for Hailfire Peaks anyways. So it's not too important to be able to get everything in one go (it'd be nice and cool though). IIRC you can easily get 9 out of 10 jiggies on the first visit anyways, which opens up the next two levels.
Where we need to go from there to get to wasteland is either:
1. Clip past the kazooie boulder in Pine Grove to get to Wasteland early. Doing this means you get clockwork kazooie eggs, so witchyworld is broken. But you can't get into TDL unless there's a way to clip past that boulder at the entrance. This is definitely the easier and more-timesaving of the two options. 2. Clip past the gate to get to Cliff Top early. This means you can get to JRL without getting split up. The problem is, you're forced to revisit because you don't have hatch nor split-up to get everything, and the only useful thing about this is getting the underwater move to be able to get into wasteland quickly. This will not be as useful as the first option, and I dont' recommend trying this out until the first option proves impossible.
Assuming the first option is possible, you can then pretty much get the 8-9 jiggies from MHT, unlock GGM and WW, but go straight to TDL and get those OP moves.
The only problem I see with the theoretical route is the note requirements for Jamjars. I'm not sure how many notes you need to learn clockwork kazooie eggs and the TDL moves, but I'm very sure it's above 200 (it should be easy to get 100 from MHM, 100 from TDL itself, and probably a few more from isle o hags). If it's impossible to make the requirement without visiting another world, then it's probably best to go to GGM as we REALLY WANT those clockwork kazooie eggs to break WW, and it has the train.
Unfortunately that means we can't clear GGM in one go without spring shoes... so if there was a way to get that waterfall jiggy without the spring shoes, then it'd be trivial to do GGM in one visit alone (going to MHM to stop by GGM for the imprisoned mouse's jiggy does not count as a GGM visit). And if clearing GGM in one go without spring shoes is possible, then the theoretical 100% can then go clean up GGM in the first visit, unlock the train, get the extra 100 notes, and hopefully that'll be enough to learn the OP moves in wasteland and TDL.
Obviously this only works if clipping into wasteland even works in the first place, which emphasizes how useful that clip would be, just for the clockwork kazooie eggs alone...
I may try messing with the game a bit over the week, but I'm not really experienced with glitch finding
