Hi Kwigles here. Now i'v been a gamer for life but now i'm starting to speedrun. I hope i'm in the right thread for this question and such, i'm new to the SDA website >.< if not i hope someone can point me to the right direction.

But to get to the point. I'm mainly planning on speed running legend of zelda games like OoT and MM but i also had an interest in speed running a more... no speedy game i guess i can call it. That game is persona 4 golden. now upon doing a bit of research on this game, any% speedrun of this game could take more then 24h >.< because of this i got to thinking. Maybe if people are interested enough i could run this game every so often and make it a 24h or however long the game takes, charity run.

I'm really not sure if this is a good idea and i would really like some other peoples input on it because i know that persona isn't  the most known game out there. But any comment would be fantastic good or bad i'm open to ideas and really just want other people input on this

Thank you very much for reading =3 (also sorry for bad spelling T.T)

I can't decide if this belongs in Live Streaming or in Community Marathons, but I'm leaning towards the latter so that's where it's going.
I speedrun Baten Kaitos which is around 15~16 hours long. And the first thing that I can say is that clearly, you should play your game more and unlearn some things you learned about the game. Thigs like casual strategies that makes you win and that you always apply when you play for fun, but that are pretty long to do. It sounds pretty stupid and kind of obvious when you think about it, but it's not. You need to compare the existing runs with what you usually do, and try to figure out what are the "casual" things you need to ban from your habits.

I don't know about Persona 4 routing, I assume some notes exist if there are other runners, but doing my own notes for my game took me about 1 month before doing my first run, only by playing the game very fast. So you you should keep in mind that it will requires full weeks of learning if you want to begin to be good. Doing straight streams of 24 hours of the game hoping you will finish the game that fast won't end well. You have to be prepared, to feel prepared, and even with that you need to keep in min that your first run will be a complete failure compared to your expectations.

But here is my main advice: keep going! Speedrunning is always fun and you should never give up if you love it!
