the resolution is smaller on lower quality. that is one of the reasons why we ask that you only use sp or better.

When i put in a DVD+R, it mentions something about a fixD2V tool.Are they related?

it's just that your dvd recorder is recording non-standard .vob files. that means that the way anri-chan is set up to work right now isn't going to work very well for you. however anri-chan 2 has an almost totally new dvd ripping system that may work much better for you.
