Does anybody know how you can get this effect?  It's like a motion blur that only applies when the view moves quickly.  I've seen this in so many videos, but I don't know how to do it.  What program do you need to do this?

Thanks -_-

Um, I know that one way is to capture at very high fps and then blend them together at a lower framerate. "Get Quaked 3" over at http://www.own-age.com/ was captured at 400 fps, and blended down to 25 fps, creating a motion blur effect, and smooth slow motion scenes.
.
That video was recorded using a custom port of PrBoom created by Dashiva that used motion blur, it took a long time to capture each level though. As for the rest, ballofsnow just answered. Tongue

Thanks for the hints!

I'm deciding to record my CS stuff at 90 fps, and then having the movie be played at 30 fps, so I can give a nice 3-frame set smooth effect.

Here is a sample video I made of my friend getting an easy deagle hs, compared with and w/o effects.

400/25= 16...

damn, a 16 frame effect?

that would look so much better, but my comp prolly can't handle that much.
looks good, though i'm a bit of a purist. Tongue
