I'd like to watch others building stuff and if they need support or ressources I would help out then. Also there's nothing funnier than doing a 4 (or more) man exploration into caves and hunt down annoying creepers and skeletons Minecraft name: RoyHess preferred name: RoyHess
I also like to have admins around, so I can report abusive people quickly until they do more damage.

Minecraft name: Ilseroth Preferred: Ilseroth Playstyle: I get an idea and stick with it, sometimes further then I really should. First was the tower, then the water slide, then the underwater bubble house.
No problem. You'll be pleased to see (besides your glitched house) that Wheatley is doing better than ever! We're in the process of building new plots for people to build on, next to Trading House and Creeper Forest!
What the hell, I'll give this a try (assuming I don't mysteriously loose all my spare time)
Minecraft name: xud9dab2 Preferred: xud/Metis Playstyle: Building needless(ly elaborate) Redstone locks, building farms that produce far, FAR more wheat than one person will ever consume (my standard farm is 4 4×4 (64) fields, which makes for 21 loaves of bread with 1 wheat to spare), planting torches all over the place until the ground it lit up like an overly decorated Christmas Tree set on fire (I hate Reaper "Out of ****ing nowhere" Creeper SO DAMN MUCH), and practising the art of lava scoping (literally scooping up whole rivers of lava in the hope of it leading to either more resources or new cave sections)

We build plenty of things, and people are always needing help. In fact, once you get your house built, you'll probably never be lacking something to do. There's always cool stuff to build.
It isn't yet, once I get it going with a public IP after the move in a few days, it should be MUCH faster/not laggy and maybe 24/7 if I can find some hardware to donate to it haha.
I know the marathon's obviously taking up most people's attention, but a little info about the server can't hurt now that I play regularly
Everyone'e houses in Wheatley are becoming increasingly epic, with lava traps, glass towers, tons of water features, and a dope-ass water elevator in cheese's house which is amazing and blows my mind. Most people have personal wheat farms. xud9dab2 soldiers on in the wheat market anyway.
I've seen castles, docks, huge rail lines, a train station (sort of) and a huge tree around Wheatley. A few people did some really good work setting up some light all around Wheatley and making it a gated community, so no monsters even at night now (besides the occasional inexplicable creeper)
Me? I have a tree farm that yields ~13 stacks of logs a harvest, and a 64x64 floating reed farm I share with Bjorn that yields over 2 inventories of reeds. I'm building a floating library and serious of accompanying floating islands. Yeah.
It really is looking to be an awesome server Its a good community and good people.
Notch just donated $1,000 to our SDA marathon!!!! He even advertised it on his blog!!! Woah!!!
Not quite on his blog, but he tweeted about it. Still, awesome stuff!
Also, if anyone is/was still looking for string, I now have a spider farm/trap going. We probably don't need too much, but now it won't be a hassle to get it from spiders. I have an idea for a water/cactus trap that may work on all mobs, but have yet to try it out. If it does work, then I'll be building canals to capture mobs from all over (and bridges to cross said canals), so there should be some safe place to run from mobs when you're outside of town.
