Mighty Jill Off is a freeware 2D platformer released in 2008, it seems like this game is really unknown (although it gets a cameo appearance in super meat boy) but I found it just a few days ago, put many many hours in and found that it is REALLY good for speedrunning, you can get the game here; http://www.auntiepixelante.com/jilloff/
Basically I wouldn't mind doing a SS run for this game, my best run so far is 7.09 and that can be seen here;

What do you think?

P.S It's harder than it looks!

yeah sorry still uploading, it'll be up soon
Are you doing NG or NG+? Or both, I guess.

Yeah it's a nice little game, and I know it's pretty tricky to run because I've tried to run it a bit myself as well a long time ago.

Onin: There's a New Game+? Did that get patched in or something because it wasn't there when I played it (As far as I remember).

Anyway, I watched your run and it's very nice. A few mistakes and I hope you can get those fixed Smiley But like the first "pixel perfect jump up" mistake is a very understandable one, I maybe managed to get through that place in one go once or twice or so, tricky part Wink
But back then I also found a trick which made you jump higher. It was especially useful at the 4:33 place in your video. I'm not sure anymore how it worked exactly but it was something like getting on a block at pretty much the exact moment you could get on it (Thus not hovering a little above it), like grazing along the block just right and get on it, then for some reason the next jump will be higher. So then in the 4:33 place you wouldn't need to go left -> right -> left -> right etc, but you could just go along the left wall only.
As a matter of fact you do the trick at the very first block on the left wall at 4:33 which made you jump higher (You could've jumped on the block above you instead of to the one on the right).

NG I guess seen as there's no saving your game, and the idea about the higher jump might be right, that theory is quite interesting but I didn't test it because I assumed it was random but I do know it allows you to make it up just one side in that part, guess I'll have to do a little more testing....
9397 = power level
Oh man you're right, you have to stop yourself so you clip the edge and your next jump the camera sort of changes and you can jump higher, I just made it up the whole wall at 4.33, its hard but not that hard and it saves a lot of time, thanks for the help, maybe sub 7.00 is a good goal then I think...

I don't know when it got patched in, but after you clear the first tower fast enough, there's a second, much harder tower. They have different timers, but I can't recall if you can actually access the second tower separately...
9397 = power level
Apparently there's a code to access the second tower straight away  which you get sent if you give the creator money, the second tower is not the same as the first though and the creator can do the second tower in a faster time than the first which makes me think it's shorter/easier to speedrun it, if I do submit a run for the first tower I'll likely give the second a go too, but I ain't doing it without a code because otherwise I'll take me 8mins each time to complete the first tower before I get a crack at the second and that ain't gonna result in a good run.
Btw it's under 12 mins you have to complete the first to get to try the second, and the creator says she can do the first tower in under 9mins and the second in under 8mins.
Since they're completely different levels, they should either be different categories or simply two different parts of the whole speedrun.

Obviously, thing is the game was originally just the first tower so I consider that the main game with the second as some kind of DLC I guess, I don't see a run of both towers in one go happening because if you die in the second tower a wierd glitch happens where you get stuck in the floor and can't continue, and I think it's probably too hard to do without deaths after completing the first tower.

"UPDATE: the bundle hit a thousand bucks! here’s the code: start the game. while jill is licking the queen’s boots, type “queen”. you’ll hear a melody. then press space to start the second tower."

This will come in nice and handy....
I will try this game, thanks for the tip and keep up the good work Smiley

It's strange the glitch where you get stuck in the floor in the second tower in places if you die doesn't seem to happen when you use the code "queen" rather than progressing to the second tower from the first, pretty strange but I did manage to complete the second tower, it's really really hard just to complete but it is quite a bit shorter than the first if you were to fly through it I think, also strangely there are parts where you have to die to progress, I might just make a video of me completing the second tower (badly) for reference seen as NOBODY in the whole of youtube has done the second tower and posted it.

Haha, the second tower was a little bit difficult. The checkpoints are much closer then before so still not too bad. Fun game I must say!

Also the glitch with getting stuck in the floor also didn't happen as much/easily when I used the code. I think the second tower would be it's own catagory if you decide to run it.

Also, the jump you say is really annoying in your youtube video, you can jump straight up without hitting any of the spikes. It's probably easier to do that then to zig zag through the way they intend you to.
9397 = power level
I know that, I don't think that makes it easier though, I think I have it down now, it's just nerve racking I guess, I can't take 7 minute running when I can't make any mistakes...
9397 = power level
I made a few videos showing some second tower routes, I can confirm the second tower is much shorter, I just did a run where I died and messed up a lot and I got 6:14, I think maybe sub 5 for the second tower is possible.

Ok this is probably going to be my final route, I just go about explaining everything I'm about to do in this video;

I don't know how vital using a gamepad is for you, but if WASD doesn't ruin it all you could bind jumping to the mousewheel and cheese the boss that way. I don't think mousewheel jumping is against SDA rules.

Using a gamepad is extremely vital, but I could put the controller down and use the mouse just for the boss if it works and is allowed.
9397 = power level
ok I can't get this to work, and the reason why is there can be do delay between taps if you are going to continuously spam the button, I mean maybe someone can if they get used to just hitting the scroll wheel twice rather than rolling the wheel but for me that's not any better.

It's not against the rules if the game natively supports mouse control. Using third-party applications to bind the jump key to your mousewheel however is not allowed afaik.

But if you use third-party software to bind a games controls to a controller, is that not okey?

If that is so then I might just have to give up on my current project, I am not good enough with a keyboard to run it.

Sorry for being off-topic.
9397 = power level
Well Mikwuywa told me using xpadder is fine for a game that doesn't support controllers, I can't see why binding keys to other things wouldn't be fine but I am not doing that anyway so it's ok I guess. I can invite you to my thread with him ozzy so you can see what he said.
Thanks Harry!

Good luck with running Mighty Jill Off then Smiley
