Short run, so I had a look despite not knowing anything about the game (which is a pretty big handicap in this kind of game).

I can't say much about the routing, but beating this type of game in a matter of minutes always looks pretty neat and as far as I can tell this is the fastest known time for this game (without using cheat codes). I couldn't detect any particular mistakes other than minor mistypings. A little time could be saved there, but nothing to worry about. There is a thread in the forum for this run: https://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/might_and_magic_iv_clouds_of_xeen.html. Apparently the last boss fight could have gone a little better as well. Still, fairly minor seen over the whole run in my opinion.

I agree with everything the runner said in the forum thread and the run comments about glitches and tricks. Those that are included seem legit and in line with what's used in speedruns for other games. The "I lost it" command indeed seems to be more of a cheat code and should not be used.

Already watched this run and its predecessors; gamma has done a great job distilling this game down to what truly needs to be done. I'm still not quite sure what to do about the portal commands, but I think what has been chosen here is a reasonable standard. Run is fast and fairly lucky.
