P.S. Earthbound
Hey, everyone. Thank you very much for taking the time to check out our marathon! I should probably mention straightaway that submissions for this marathon are already closed.
The Midwest Speedcrew -- responsible for numerous Midwest Speedfests and the inaugural Midfall Speedball last year -- are back with the first-ever Midwinter Speedsprinter! (MWSS)
We'll be live 24/7 beginning at 8am CST (UTC-6) on March 2nd, speedrunning a variety of games all weekend long. Featuring both in-person and online runs.
While our recent marathons have been fundraising for Extra Life or a similar charity, this time around we are accepting contributions on behalf of Maria Soria, whose son Jake (a friend of one of our runners) was diagnosed with leukemia last year. While we would request that you donate via the speedrun.com link so you can apply your donation toward one of our marathon's incentives, you may read more about Maria and Jake's story on their GoFundMe page, found here: https://www.gofundme.com/e44dtq-my-son-is-fighting-leukemia And, of course, you are welcome to give them money directly using that website. All funds we receive during MWSS will be given to Maria, to help with medical expenses.
