For me a kerotan run wouldn't be very interesting.. at all. It would be more like a video walkthrough, so i guess it'd be good for people looking for the frogs, but not as a speed run, in my opinion.

Yes that was one of the responses i thought of too. Thats why im still a bit apprenhesive on doing this run. However I was going to run the game on European Extreme and of course get a Foxhound Rank.

So, Question. Does anyone know what rank ill get if i get all 64 frogs and foxhound stats. Do I get foxhound or Kerotan?

the easiest way to kill the end (and still get foxhound with 0 kills)

is to do the "The End Dies Of Old Age Trick"

im preety sure you know that one right? and since he dies by himself (natural causes it doesnt count towards a kill, and you can completly skip the part

What I don't know is if you could give a single-segment run to radix where you save and reset the game and fastforward your PS2's clock. And stay recording all the while.

That is why i said single segment. For the end dieing if old age the game has to be saved. I was going to complete the game wirth no save!

Well try and come up with an impressive strategy. Others wise it'b be just boring to watch you go back and forth for 10 minutes.

Wel of course i will try to come up with a route, but i dont think it possible to beat him very quickly. And i wont be running back and forth i would b erunning to exactly where he is every time. Ill try fighting the End a couple of times and see if theres anything that could make it easier

Does that mean that you'll pick up the the thermal goggles. It helps some. And I don't think I ever seen a speed run that picks one up.

Finally My college work was finished last Friday  Grin  sooo...

I have been busy recording runs and have done a speedrun for both MGS1 and 3.

Forget my MGS3 run thats ok, but my MGS 1 run i had to make seroius improvements and changes.

Everyone by now should know the game seed for the PAL version is extremely slow. My initial time i thought would be 2 hr 30. But  tried again and boght this down to a time which i thought was good of 2 hr 25. But i have recorded my run which is closer to 2 hrs 15 minutes.

as for MGS3 i tried to record a few single segment runs. I tried twice but first time i got caught in Ponizovje warehouse (After the Fear) and second time Ocelot killed me. Shocking! I know

As for the End i tried a few practice runs to see the best way to kill him, to see if he has any flaws, any routes. And the answer is no. I have to fight him one on one i find him he finds me. I tried abut 3 times and the first time it took me 17 minutes to kill him then i took 10 minutes than i took 12 minutes. So my conclusion is that i will beat him whenever i face him and will just set myself a target time of about 12-14 minutes.

Im gonna get the runs on the site same way i got my MGS2 runs on. I'll send the tape soon. But it should be up by end of the month, Because thats when Nate will back.

I am also very close to completing my Single Segment MGS3 Run

Would anyone want me to try and beat the Twin Snakes time. I'm also thinking of doing a Twin Snakes Dog Tag run.

Currently i can go at least 2 minutes faster then the current time for twin snakes up to the Psycho mantis fight. But he does really well after that.

Oh my MGS3 single Segment is giving me a real headache, but i wont give up and hope to do it very soon. I think around 2 hours maybe more is what im looking for.

twin snakes is kind of a "meh" for me. if you do, cool. but dont put it in front of any of the other runs you had planned.

I agree with the "meh" but seeing as i bought the Gamecube just for that game i don't wanna remember just that i wasted £100 for nothing.
