Newbie's Adventures
Hey, I've been playing these games on an emulator since they are only on arcade cabinets and thinking about speedrunning them but I am wondering if I submit a run of either one of the games if it will be accepted since it is only accessible through select cabinets and emulators. Also since it is just a Boss rush of old Megaman bosses.

I think this would be better posted in the tech support forum. They might be able to provide some help there. I'm assuming you're talking about MAME games? Or some of those very old fashioned cabinet games?

Also alright, thank you

I'm not sure if they would take them because it's on emulator, but at the same time how would the expect you to record an arcade cabinet? I'm not exactly sure what to tell you other than to ask the higher ups

I dont have the cabinet of the games (really wish I did though) but I was just more or less wondering if the game would count as a legit speedrun since it could only be accessed by an arcade emulator or and arcade cabinet. Also since all the games are, are just Boss Rushes.

Both of these games were included on the releases of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection in 2004 for the Gamecube and PS2 and 2005 for the original XBox. I don't know how different those versions are from the original arcade counterparts, but those are the only official home releases of those games. If you want to run those games with an eye towards possible SDA submission, playing the game from the Anniversary Collection is going to be your only option short of rigging up arcade cabinet capture. I suppose if both of these games are still on Gametap and that actually works, that is an option as well.

EDIT: JAckinthebox beat me to it by a second. Good luck with the run. In order to unlock the game, you need to beat a specific boss in MM7 but that seems to vary depending on which console version.
