Would SDA accept a MM2 glitched run? I mean using tricks like getting into the walls to zip through the levels and such. It might be a few minutes faster than the current run that’s under TG rules. I'm planning on doing such a run if it will be accepted.
Thread title:
You mean, going right through walls to skip to the end of levels? In that case, I don't believe it would be accepted. Depends on how much you use it.
Well, it doesn't take you straight to the end of the level, but it does allow you to fly through large portions of it, like the Bubble Man shortcut. I'll use it a couple of times, and it should take off a good amount of time.

MOST glitches go through okay in SDA. However, what you are doing sounds a lot like "leaving the level boundaries", one of the few rules here. However however, if it turns out you just clip through a wall while staying in one screen, it might get accepted. I would recommend linking somewhere or making a video that tells or shows exactly what goes on, or wait for some other MM2 person to drop by this thread and tell us (hint hint).
I thought everyone would be familiar with it by now. I found a clip that shows the basic idea of it:

Radix, can you give me the yes or no on this?

Should be ok, at least the zipping through walls.

Ladder glitches would be a different story (were you climb up a ladder and reappear on the top of the next screen) since those teleport you, but I don't even know if these are possible on console, I started the series with MegaMan 3 where those glitches are fixed.
th elink that you give only show a 2sec. video ?!?

The clip shown is acceptable because you're going through something in a clearly connected part of the level. However, if you have a situation like this (crude ascii art alert):
Code:
***==========
===A********B====

And you use the glitch to go from point A to B without going to the upper part, that's not good because you're going through something that isn't supposed to be connected.
Hmm. So as long as I'm going through the same wall, it's ok? I hope that's what you mean. I'm just going to be using that trick in the video a lot of times in the same way.
Ok, one more:

If you give this the thumbs up, then I can go through with my run.

That one isn't good because you're glitching through an area outside of the level boundry.

Well, it's the same thing that's happening in the first clip, but its just higher up screen. So no go? Sad
I can do that trick without Mega Man leaving the screen. Would that work?

edit: After trying it a few more times, it looks like it will always push Mega Man off the screen. nm then. I'm still satisfied with the current run.  Smiley
