Yeah, I would love to see a speed run of this game.  Individual levels would be best, that way the times can go as low as possible.

I couldn't get 2:13 on 'Into the Breach' either.  With my crappy aim, the best I could get (after about 20 attempts) was ~2:24.

I do know you can jump over the guy while he's being shot at the beginning (you can jump higher if you look up.)  But most of the things that I found were probably pretty obvious to regular speed runners.

Well the tricks is to know were to aim them (speaking of your finest hour) the best weapons for that is the garand put yourself were the red smoke is and snipe them(moving from the left to the right(speaking of the red smoke-thing)) in the beginning thats hard but after 50+ tries youll have it after that you have to join the guy at the right so he can put the explosive. You should definitively avoid him to get shot cause ill stop and that is what we dont want.
After he plant the x-plosive stay to 1 or 2 metters.
Immediatly after the detonation(even during) go into the the fire and bunnyhop to the mines field. two nazis are waiting for you here kill them and mount the machine gun.Kill the approching nazi and then shoot the things you have to shoot(dont remember its been 4 months since i haved touch that game) anyway after you caporal will approch and then mission complete.
Oh! do not take any item even the machine-gun at the complete left in the sea.The only things i have taken is the bullets after the BOOM beside the minefield.
There you are. Wink

Ill tell you all my trick if you want but finish that level and then we go on for the rest... Grin

SEASIDE STOWAWAY

(use you 9 mm pistol, youll run faster)(dont remember if you got it in that point, thought)
ive made an image of a trick i have found below
Bunnyhop all the time.
When you see a car crash continue until you spot an L-like corridor then jump as the plane bomb you to jump 10-15 meters away towards the enemy(see pic)
When you come to the point where theres a little bridge with a tank.
Youll see another plane coming as you ve reached the tank jump and gain another 10-15 meter foward .
When you take the ladder 10 second after go up shot 2 bullets and get down (you have to jump here dont worry about the HP you loss theres are surgeon pack waiting for you besides the wall.
Thats it for that level.
The tricks is to avoid every firefight and stab the enemy with your gun whenever its possible cause that will immediatly kill them Grin

Thats it!

Thanks for the tips =D. I'll be practising them (though I can't for a week because I'm headed to Quebec tomorrow).

What platform are you playing on?  (GC, Xbox, PS2, etc.)

That doesn't seem to happen on the GC.  Usually it seems to require 2 hits (I may not be doing it right,) and usually it stops you when you come in contact with the enemy.

It would be cool to see a video of one of the levels done fast, even if it's not your best time, because those times are way faster than anything I could come up with. Smiley
i play on the GC with full of aliasing lolll
you have to stab him behind the head
and I can't show you my video, I don't have a capture card :-/

I took another stab at this today. I focused entirely on Into the Breach and I played for a good hour and a half, and came up with 2:25 for my best time. There are a lot of things that annoy me, when you go to clear out the artillery room the first guy you see seems to randomly either stay put, more a little to the right or move towards the guy by the barrels. He's very easy to kill if he stays put or moves by the guy with the barrels but if he move just a little over then you have to adjust on the fly. Also, after you clear the room out USUALLY two guys will spawn behind you and you'll have to kill them before you can progress. However I've had sessions where they didn't spawn at all (conveniently in runs with big mistakes that ended up at like 2:40 -_-) and I'm wondering if its possible that I somehow bypassed a spawn trigger, and if I did I'd love to know how I did it.

My time is no where near perfect considering Ajax got 2:13. I'd love to know how he got it, I can save maybe seven or so seconds tops.

EDIT: This is the video I capped
So now you're working on it, Hexrapper?
Would love to see some Medal of Honor games on SDA.
nice 2:25 video but its very easy to go faster.

I made a video about 18 months ago and have spoken to atwyatt numerous times

here is a link to my video of into the breach :-

done in 1:59 but i could see a 1:57 (you can see the one small blip that i had in this run).

I also have a run for every level on youtube if you look through them.

If i can offer any advice on how to go faster then please ask.
Wow, awesome run! I'll have to try and match that tonight, I was completely unaware they had smoke grenades in a location other than that room, that's a great time cut right there, and everywhere else you just blazed through man =X I'll have to make use of melee, I didn't realize how useful it'd be.

On another note, if you got those awesome times then how come you didn't submit to SDA?
youtube was a better option after speaking to Radix and being advised that, as it only has 1 quality, it may not be held on SDA.

I AM FUCKED ANGRY
I do up this thread back.

I had play in first time of all my life the game MOH Frontline for three days ago.
So I had start a test speedrun of some levels with good feeling to run this game.
I had found this old thread to post this massage in this topic. I do play it on the PS2 console with the PAL uncensored version ML3 - multi three language.

I had watch some movies on stream webs, but I think on the PS2 console it give no a more speed to strafe the side perspective. In the PSX version do it really function with side strafe running. But not in the PS2 version of Frontline. I am not realy sure of this, but I think yes.

So I had play for two days ago the segment 'Seaside Stowaway' with 01:46 and I read this thread today with 'AjAX' on the NGC system.
I am confused ..

AjAX, run on 'Februar 21, 2006' ->
M02 - L01: Seaside Stowaway : 2:15
M02 - L01 Improved: Seaside Stowaway: 2:05

my test run on 'Mai 31, 2010' ->
M02 - L01: Seaside Stowaway : 01:46

sorry, for bump in this Topic.
Yeah, the ps2 version apparently runs faster than the GC version.  Some of the times I've heard of were about 15 seconds faster on average.  I'm not sure if it's loading time, different time counting conditions, or different strafing speed, but an average for Into the Breach on GC is ~2:01 to 1:58, whereas on the ps2 it was around 1:45 or so.

On GC, the best I had done on Seaside Stowaway was 1:51, and I think that could have been improved to about 1:49, maybe 1:48 without mistakes and with ideal strategies.  So maybe ~1:35 or so on the ps2.

I would look at Failurewarning's videos, and see how fast he does it, and compare it.

But yeah, it's a great game to speed run.  Smiley

Here's a run I did today on "A Chance Meeting" in 2:04:

It's by no means perfect; sub 2 shouldn't very hard. The main reason I decided to just get a run on video was because of the jump trick you'll see at the start of the run. I found that shortcut a few years back on the PS2 version.

I use the "MOH-dern" control style, btw.

EDIT: Run of "Seaside Stowaway" in 1:19:

I could probably shave off another two or so seconds.

Here's a run of the last mission, "Stealing the Show", done in 12 seconds if anyone is interested:

Very simple level except the boss since you want him to walk to the barrels to do more damage with the second shot. If he doesn't go them it takes three shots which waste time because you need to reload again. Probably didn't take more than ten minutes to get this so maybe an improvement is possible. Also, I cut the "cutscene" in the plane from the video; it's just boring to watch several times and makes the file bigger.
Golden Lion - 4:47

It wasn't a very hard time to achieve so I'll probably shave off a few more seconds and upload a video later.

Golden Lion - 4:25

OK, here you really start noticing that the timer on the PS2/PS3 version is screwed up (you obviously do on the other runs as well if you compare the time with the video run time; this level is just a lot longer).

I got a 4:25 on a run that felt kinda crappy and then I got 4:32 and 4:30 on two runs that seemed better, so I must be inconsistent with the strafing or something. I also didn't think the 4:47 run was that much worse than this, weird. Maybe it's better to use a different control scheme, like L1/R1 for strafing instead of the left stick. Not the best run but better than nothing.
Three more OK runs here; Special Cargo, Arnhem Knights and Yard by Yard:

Eye of the Storm 2:20

Hey I've owned this game since 2005 on the Xbox is the PS3 the fastest version? I've thought about making this my first speed running game. Also, does difficulty matter? Thanks.
In addition, does anyone know of any good tips like glitches or ways to move faster?
