Also, I did an Obake run last night, with easially like 15 minutes of mistakes comming in at 47 mins. I think I'm going to try and work for that record to because wombat's run is far from perfect
Updated the front page with your no-OoB run, plus another tidbit:

Quote:
BIG NOTICE: We want to phase loading times out of the runs. If you ever get a run within 20 seconds of a WR that is labelled as "inc. loading", send me a private message and I will time the runs correctly. Alternatively, if your run is greater than 20 seconds from a WR, you can time it yourself and let me know. Loading times have been off-putting for a lot of runners and it is time we put an end to it.

So, about that Obake run.

Clocking in at 34:22 inc. loading.
I did beat it, and that run is still bad. Pretty interesting category though, the early levels suck but later gets pretty fun.

Also Chaz, the NG no-OoB on the front page needs inc. loading too.

Yeah, it's a wall of text so it's hard to edit. Fixed it though, thanks.

When i get time I'll time the runs properly one at a time (said time one too many times this time?). It may take a while though. I'll start with the most recent runs and work to the older runs since it is more likely that newer runs will be beaten and thus having a proper time is good.

I will, however, leave the times with loading included as it gives a better idea of what the run would be real time. It is very awkward to pause the timer on loading screens in real time which is why ClysmiC was somewhat against it, and I agree, since for NG runs you need to be ready to purchase instantly after a loading screen. Runs within 20 seconds of WR inc. loading will be timed for WR. I can take care of that, but since I am busy the process may be slow.

EDIT:
Re-ordered the runs as well, Obake time is now faster than NG+ No-OoB! I still need to check the run for legitimacy since Obake is pretty tight on rules, but I'll trust you got it right.
I mean you can watch it, I'm pretty sure I did it right though. I checked for no alarms after all the levels, and there would be no way for any gunshots.

Kelly is the only person who can take a shot without alerts. I just checked it quickly now and he didn't shoot, so your run should be legit.
Ah, you're right. And that usually doesn't happen, but I did forget about that. Thanks for reminding me! Ill need to watch for that.

So, I've been pretty busy. I have been doing some runs for NG any% and got a run clocking in at 28:17.9 including loading.
I don't know if you want to time both runs for loading times, Chaz. It was a pretty good run. No more races between me and Chaz so he can't shatter this time like porcelain too.

No audio because music, and twitch is annoying about that now.
Indian Ocean bro!
My question may be totally dumb and plz forgive me but why when I come at the end of lvl 8, sometimes the door is closed and I can't finish the lvl?

I'm not quite sure what exactly you mean. If this is no oob the door doesn't open until you trigger the pilots death or the fuel pump, but if you don't do that, it doesn't open. And you should be a bit more specific about which door, because I'm not sure
Indian Ocean bro!
Yes it's the last big door that you have to kill the pilot for, I kill him but when I go to the door, it's closed...

I think this is just a bug.  I actually had this happen in my first casual playthrough, and had to redo the level.

Indian Ocean bro!
It happens to me two out of three time it's getting me mad... It's a runkiller
Do you have an updated version of the game? Because that might do it.
Also, this happened to Semml a while back, I have no clue how it works, no idea what happened, it just did, and I hope we can replicate it.

Looks like he used far sight on the same frame he contacted the wall, and for that wall it pushed him through.  I would bet this is unique to the collision detection of that wall, and wouldn't work elsewhere - the walls in this game, as Chaz once remarked, are cobbled together and entirely inconsistent.  It also may only work on corners like that.  It does deserve some further exploration, as it could lead to being able to clip in places previously impossible - for instance, those half-height walls along some floors.
That could actually save doing some of the bonus rooms in S&S if it could be replicated properly.

It isn't a bug. The door closes if an alarm is raised at all during the helicopter segment. You must do the entire thing without being detected (from the cutscene up to the door). In the case an alarm is raised, you must go up and round past the box. Obviously, this is slow, so avoiding detection is necessary.

This isn't far sight causing this. All corners in the game can be jumped through given a specific position. It is very hard to replicate, but would be the favored method of clipping through walls with a corner at the top. I have done it many times at the start of level 2 when you bat glide up to the roof. Sometimes I stopped too early and clipped through the corner. I have also done it a few times on level 6 in NG Any% trying to get down to the 3 levers near the beginning since the wall is very low.
NG Any% runs timed:

ChazneySR: 0:50 loading time - 27:32 final time
Ereanith: 0:46 loading time - 27:31 final time

Very close bro, but you got it! Well done. I actually ended up with a higher loading time since I was streaming, but not by much.
Indian Ocean bro!
Haha gj. Thank you Chazney it helped me a lot. Soon I'll have my new PC and I'll know all the lvls so I'll upload a run here =)

I was streaming too, maybe just computron specs.

Ah, I guess. To be fair, 4 seconds over 12 load screens isn't really that much. The timing I used was not accurate (I just went to each loading screen and timed it by eye using my split software) and usually if the times fell within 3 seconds I would switch to accurate timing. However, I don't particularly mind, and since I did the times myself I won't dispute the 1 second difference.

On a side note, repair your Mark of the Ninja to fix the scores. Since the scores don't affect the run they don't jeopardize the run legitimacy, but it just doesn't look nice on a run video when your score is ridiculously high, some viewers may think you are cheating.

Ah, true, I totally forgot about doing that. I wanted to, but I didn't want to go manually change all of the files. Do you know where the save game is kept in the files? So I can keep one with tons of money and upgrades.
Here is the end of level 8 in my NG+ No-OoB run:
http://www.twitch.tv/chazneysr/c/2882337?t=19m57s

You can see I don't get detected and all 3 doors are open. The route is essentially the same in NG since I don't use Serenity until the end; you can just grapple over instead. If you grapple over then get detected, you can still get through the door, I don't believe it closes.

Notice that I hop 3 times in the first vent to not alert the guy above since the room is well lit, and I make sure to kill the helicopter guy and get back to the lit room just before the next guard goes through the door. I'm not sure if you have bugs at that point in NG, but this is the general idea.
