I think I'll try the NG% any% No-Oob but there's something I'd like to ask the trick to pass the laser in lvl 2 is allowed so? It isn't consider as an oob? And I don't understand it very well. Can someone explain it to me? Sometimes when I try it, it works directly but sometime it takes me a lot of retry...

Nope, it isn't considered OoB. There is a definition on the front page:

OoB glitches are defined by taking a path that would not be possible without OoB. This means laser skips and the door skip are allowed, along with other clever tricks.

To put it simply, if you can remove all death traps and take the route legitimately, it is not OoB.

The glitch works because the hit box never reaches the laser. If you go into the vent as soon as possible, the hit box moves past the laser into the vent instantly so you don't die. This is why the timing is so precise. I don't think it is frame perfect, but not far off. If you take too long the hit box corrects itself and the laser kills you. (disclaimer: this may not be how it actually works but close enough to explain why it works).

I don't have time to run anymore unfortunately. My no-OoB run is very poor compared to the potential a no-OoB run has, and I would love to see someone take the reins on the category, or take reins on the game in general. I think my large experience gap over other runners was putting people off trying to WR, so I would be happy to see others take the WR in all categories.

I think a better goal right now is to get a regular GDQ representative! Well, we can dream I suppose.

So I talked to Chaz a bit, and wondered about a NG no-OoB. I personally like NG because NG+ is really all about pushing serenity to the limit, as Chaz says, and I totally agree. I feel like New Game is much more interesting to run and watch. So Chaz and I agreed to create a NG no-OoB category. I just finished my first run, and by god is it atrocious.
Ending at 52:27 we could take a lot of time of this, and I would love to see more people trying to run it and get competitive as our any% categories are getting pretty optimal.

I have done a run from lvl 1 to 3 but I think my PC is too old. Good news I'll buy a new one soon. I think the PC is quite important with this game because I have long loading times and even if my first level was almost perfect and yours got a little fail I was 20 seconds behind you... Or maybe it's something else... Still trying to do better runs and maybe when I'll get my new PC I'll upload some.

And, I was wondering, the strat you make in lvl 3 by tickling the guards when the guy with the tracking device comes out. Do you really gain some time doing this?

Why putting Serenity to the limit is bad? To my mind it's very cool and that's what makes the run interesting!

I'm going to continue to mess with NG Any%. I significantly prefer it to No-OoB, now that we've cleaned up the wallkicks. If anyone wants to race that, let me know. If everyone is doing NG No-OoB, though, I guess I can learn to race.

Level 9 is the new level 10 for NG no OoB. Literally Hitler. It took me forever to figure out a consistent route through the end of that. So many fucking guards, and waaay to many traps and snipers.

What up lads. I just started learning how to run this game and I have couple of questions.
1. How do I remove my save files so I can get a fresh start for my NG any% runs?
2. When I go kill the bearded suitguy after I wallkick into the room, my game soft locks. The killing animation happens, but the level doesn't end. What's up with that?
3. How do I ninjas on ice?

Well that makes me feel kinda stupid. Thanks though.
I managed to fix the soft lock by opening the door I was supposed to enter through. So I guess that's fine.
I also noticed that at the part where you do the ninjas on ice, if you just hold right and mash A you can just run normally. That's slower than the trick though, right?

The softlock you are talking about can be fixed by opening the door and starting that sequence. If you don't have the ravenous insects (bugs) by that time you can run and open the door to get a faster slide to him. If you do have bugs just kill him with those. It makes a satisfying bonk sound.
As per the ninjas on ice, I feel that if you do two jump inputs on sequencal frames you get full control, and it is marginally faster than the slide by like a couple seconds. The only way you can get a faster slide is with serenity and being oob in ng+. The full control is only faster with optimal speed sliding if I remember correctly.
Feel free to ask more questions or look at any of our vods for, I think you are running any℅. The record is up to date on routes and tricks as far as I know.

I have a question, How the fuck do you teleport throught the lasers before the gas main in lvl 4? I succeeded to do the laser skip with the vent but I really can't teleport like Chazney does! Help!

I'm pretty sure Chaz is the only NG+ runner as of late, so that's a question for him.
But if I had to guess, probably just really persice execution. As is almost all of NG+ haha.

You need to be as close to the laser as possible, you can only aim through vents if you are close enough to them. Try it on the vent to the right, see how it works.

You skip the cutscene at the start of level 4 by jumping on the first frame. If you fail, just reset at checkpoint and spam jump. It can take a couple of tries to get right.
