Mario Kart Wii Question

So, after seeing Jose's RTS MKW run, I decided to give it a try. I got to the 32nd (and final) race where I did not win the race. For my RTS to count, do I have to win every race? Or is it just based off of the time I got at the end of the race?

Here at SDA the primary goal is speed where things such as entertainment comes in as secondary. If your plan on submitting and your run is fast enough, such a small mistake might still be accepted.

Not sure what you mean by RTS though, last time I checked Mario Kart was not a Real Time Strategy game Smiley

If you're thinking of RTA (Real Time Attack), that is not yet a valid category at SDA so if you want to submit something, you should be doing an SS (Single-segment). See the FAQ for the definition of that.

Oops, my mistake about the names of things. I don't usually do this kind of thing, haha.

Reading up more on this, yes, it falls into single segment then.

I don't own a DVD recorder though. I used a webcam to record my run and reading up about it, it seems I can't submit it? Sad

Hmm, well, that sucks, lol. I guess I'll just upload to youtube then.

Yeah we want to provide high quality videos for the viewer so webcam footage is unfortunately not accepted. You might want to look into getting a Capture card as a substitute for a DVD recorder. There are some around that you can get for fairly cheap.
