Okay, I cut everything in the cutting list. So far everything in limbo stays.
Also, since Stanski is likely to come, Sonic 2 has been added to the the list, but Stanski also offered to run Sonic 1, and Altered Beast co-op with me. I was wondering if what people thought of those ideas.
Sonic 1
+It's the classic first game of the series +Still pretty fast -Not as entertaining as Sonic 2 -No spindash
Altered Beast Co-op
+It's short, less than 10 minutes +It's fun and co-op +All of the..."animal dances" we can do will be entertaining. Okay, we'll be laughing at least. -The run will make the stream X-rated.
Now to address what everyone else has said.
Limbo: Not the game, Greenalink. I wasn't a huge fan of the demo, to be honest.
PJ: But at least you'll be full of bonus stream material!
ktwo: I talked to Feasel about warpless Snake Rattle 'n Roll, and you have your wish, the run is now warpless. I expect 10 dollars from you when Feasel plays the game.
Greenalink: That sucks to hear. There's always next year I guess.
ZenicReverie: I think if you ever ran a marathon, the game list would be 900 hours long because you would accept everything. <_<
Flicky: As pootrain stated, he has two other games to fall back on.
SMG1 over 2: Arrow said SMG 2 would be more like 3 and a half hours at most. I put the estimated time at 3 hours 40 minutes for now.
Carcinogen: I have no problem with splitting the series up like that. Would you mind doing two late-night shifts in that case?
It seems that there's still a bit of debate over whether we (I) should run SMG1 or 2. Maybe we should take a vote? Heck, we could even have a bidding war at the marathon to decide which one to run. The only downside to that would be that I'd have to practice them both, but I don't really have an issue with that. Of course, it would also make timing out the marathon ahead of time more problematic. Here's the pros and cons between the two games, as I see it:
SMG1: +Can play as Mario or Luigi from the start, possible bidding potential +Better music +At least 30 minutes shorter -Levels are more repetitive -More difficult overall -Lots of unskippable cut scenes
SMG2: +More recent +Starbits can be collected ahead of time, stored in Toad bank +Easier difficulty in general, except for... -Infinite Yoshi flutter -Can only play as Mario when starting new game
If other people have strong cases for or against either one of the games, I guess now's the time to make your case.

Sounds good. I'm not sure I can guarantee my presence in a yet to define 20 minute window that lies 4 months away, but the 10 dollars will arrive some time during the marathon...
Honestly, I don't care what you guys run. I had such a great time last marathon. Can't wait for the epic shirtless runs or the battles between runners. I'll be taking a week off just to watch :-)
I haven't made many changes since I last posted, but I did make a couple while people weren't looking.
-Battletoads is now just Emptyeye and PJ, Zerst can't come to the marathon. -Added Altered Beast because it's short. I didn't add Sonic 1 because mike89 said he'd rather watch co-op Altered Beast than Sonic 1 -Trekhaak is now the BK runner. Everyone's counting on you, Elmo.
I'm not going to make any adjustments to the schedule until sign ups are mostly complete. It's too hard to tell what the schedule will be like until sign ups have been finalized.
Roberwt: Good to know. Hopefully we can make this marathon better than the last one.
yeah even though i'm really sad i can't make this marathon in person i know i and many other people are going to have a blast watching, whichever games are played. i do have to say though that it will be hard to top the amount of impromptu outrageousness that happened in the first one (beating glitchy tmnt, frezy ripping shirt etc)
Oh I was mostly talking about my inability to play a game without it crashing. Regardless of what it's played on. But yea, normal craziness also applies I suppose.
