Willing to teach you the impossible
I already noticed PJ is much much closer than I, but still, I thought I would offer this.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=Syracuse,+NY&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Syracuse,+NY&gl=us&ei=gDs3TJarBoqnnAeohNWQBA&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CCgQ8gEwAA

It adds a lil driving time and I could pick up Ilseroth and Satoryu. Just an offer. Unless PJ grabs ya, I will be willing to do it.

Also, I would be willing to help out with Airport pickups and drop offs as well.

Sweet! Its almost certain ill be at the marathon. So if you or somebody else could pick me up, that would be awesome.
And ofcourse ill chip in for gas. Id rather pay for gas than for an expensive cab ride.
Keeping you posted!

Fine by me. Anyone who wants to take me can take me.
Nobody planning on driving from south Texas? Haha, I don't know, being jobless makes coming up with money for a flight a little difficult at the moment.
Formerly known as Skullboy
I plan on driving from the Warren/Youngstown, OH area and am willing to carpool. I am going to the marathon, not sure about MAGFest yet.
Willing to teach you the impossible
I just want to help where I can and how ever I can. My car is good on gas and such.

If I end up no having to pick either of you up, I am willing to go a lil out of the way to grab ppl... well I guess NY is a lil more than just a lil out of the way for me lol
Planning on flying, probably using the cheapest/most convenient option of the following:

Departure: Dane County/O'Hare
Arrival: Dulles/Ronald Reagan
Glitching EB 1 flying man at a time
I'll be coming by car from Raleigh, NC. It'll be for the marathon for right now.

Job situation might let me go to MAGfest, too, but I won't know for awhile.
Fucking Weeaboo
Looking over flight costs and such, since Southwest does now fly out of MSP, I may just have to fly into Dulles now.  The flight would be much cheaper that way then anything else I've seen ($100/way vs $300+ both ways).  (Southwest doesn't fly into Reagan.)
Yes, a worthless avatar riding my posts.
Since I'm probably getting flown home for Christmas, if I take the bus from Regina, Saskatchewan to Washington DC I can get there no problem in 2 days.

The only thing is getting home when it's over...even the train from Toronto to Vancouver takes 4 days...better ask my parents to see what a flight costs. I have no credit card (and don't plan on getting one) so I don't think I can book flights, but if they do it I can pay them back. I'll see what it costs too, see if it's worth it to just miss a few days of school instead >_>

Oh its gonna be worth it
Professional Second Banana
I'll be flying to Ronald Reagan from either Madison, WI or Chicago-O'Hare, and will need rides from & to the airport.

What time would be best for arriving on the 5th? I will have to be picked up from the airport, so once i have this sorted out its time for booking my ticket Cheesy
Fucking Weeaboo
Since I'm probably going to be taking Southwest to Dulles, and based upon when I'll be able to leave and arrive, I'll probably be in around 8PM on the 5th and will need to take the flight leaving at around 9AM.  I will be getting a vehicle either way, but what I'll be getting will depend on how many people I'll be needing to take around, both to/from the airport and out to meals during the marathon.
Haters gonna hate
While I don't think airport/bus/train station trips will get too big, it's likely you'll get a mob of people wanting to go to a restaurant or something at any given time.  Just for reference, I drive a minivan and it was pretty routinely filled any time I went anywhere that wasn't 7/11 or shuttling one person to or from MAGfest last year.  Not saying get a conversion van or anything, but something that can fairly comfortably seat 7 (and uncomfortably more than that) is probably a good idea given the amount of people we'll likely have.
Fucking Weeaboo
Yeah, I was thinking of getting something like an Explorer/Suburban, since I'm comfortable driving something like that around (my mom has an explorer that I've driven around a lot).  That should be able to handle 7 people.  Granted whoever is sitting behind me will probably hate me, because I need lots of leg room because of my redwood tree legs. Tongue

I also have a GPS that I'll be bringing with me, so I'll be fine driving around, since I get some practice with big city driving with the Twin Cities and Chicago.  If people chip in some for gas, that would be great, because a rental of one of those for a week is pretty damn spendy. >_>;;

Lord_VG: I am even willing to chip in for the car itself. Just because you are driving it doesnt mean you should pay for the whole car yourself.
I have a plane ticket now! Coming into Ronald Reagan at 4:45 on the 5th from Houston International, but will need help getting to the marathon from there.
yay! tetris attack!
I'm working on it... not at your level, but get pretty quick KOs most of the time. What would you say is an average total time for you (not one that you would be trying to go for a record but what be a decent live run)?

well i only completed 2 runs throughout my entire time running it, but i'd say 5:30 or so for stage times should be pretty fair. guess that would mean around 9:30 - 10:00 for realtime, not including credits
5:30... I've got some work to do, but I think I can take it down to close to there. I always seem to get one person that won't stop clearing and lasts over a minute...
i guess that's a slight possibility that can't be negated, maybe 6:00 is a better estimate. most situations converge upon cave opponents being defeated within 45 seconds or so, as they will, over time, lose buffer frames when their field is filled and their stack is not 'paused' (the moments when they are struggling to get the clear on garbage). as long as you keep sending garbage to fill their screen and they don't get obscenely lucky i don't think they should ever really last over a minute.

maybe i'll do some marathon-style runs and see what the situation's like sometime.
Okay, I think I might try my hand at streaming in the next week or so, so maybe you or someone else can see if I'm on the right track with this. Of my three games this one needs the most work.
cool as long as i'm not in class or commuting i will watch

we should race dr. mario sometime or another that'd be neat
