My feelings on The Demon Rush
I'm posting this topic to see if I can get a decent headcount of people who are coming to the marathon and MAGFest. Yes, some of us will still be going to MAGFest despite what happened last year.
I know there will be spillover from marathon to MAGfest, but I also know that not everyone wants to stick around for MAGFest.
Getting headcounts for the marathon is important because I need to see roughly how many people the location needs to host, and how much the cost of the place will be split among us.
You do not have to play a game to be part of the marathon. You just have to pay for the location and food, just like everyone else.
Also, the marathon will be January 6-10th, which is Thursday to Monday. And yes, this is a week before MAGFest, which means there are two days in between the marathon and MAGFest.

Here's a small FAQ for MAGFest that I mostly copied from last year's post.
Q: What is MAGFest?
A: It's a gaming festival with a focus on music. As in a lot of video game music and OCRemix has a big panel there. Don't worry, if you don't care for video game music, there are plenty of games to play in the console room, PC LAN room, and in the hallways. The hallways are littered with arcade machines that have old 80's arcade games, fighting games, beat 'em ups, and shmups, so no matter what kind of gamer you are, there should be something for you at MAGFest.
Q: What will SDA be doing at MAGFest?
A: We'll have a panel like 2009, and last/this year (stupid new year's being so confusing) . We'll also try conduct some video interviews with runners while at MAGFest. You shouldn't be bored even if nothing else interests you about MAGFest.
Q: When is it?
A: January 13-16, 2011
Q: Where is it?
A: It's in the Hilton Mark Center just below Washington, DC in Alexandria, Virginia.
Q: Why is it so far away from me?
A: Well it's not far away from Breakdown and me, which is why it's perfect for us. And Nate is willing to travel anywhere for the sake of SDA.
Q: Where can I get a cheap flight?
A: Kayak.com and Mobissimo.com have worked pretty well for me in the past if you're traveling internationally (or maybe even nationally, dunno). I know Ryanair is cheap travel for European countries, not sure if they go to the US. Questionmark says good budget airlines are midwest and airtran. Southwest is another well-known cheap, domestic airline.
Q: How do I join?
A: You have to register at the website. Registration costs 40 dollars per person, but you can register up to 12 people in a group at a 25% discount (30 dollars).
