I'm not incredibly concerned about emulator. I was just concerned about it because I know some of SDA and SRL are all about console rather than emu. If we could get some runners on emu for LoM, I wouldn't mind at all. I'll poke around and see if I can gather some interest. It's not terribly hard to run, it just has a lot of RNG that can fuck you over.

November might be a little rough for me because that's when my workplace will get super busy. Should still be able to participate if it's on a Saturday, though.

We pretty much have to use emulators for FFA anyway, since (as of the last I knew) Bowie doesn't have a way to stream a game boy game from console, and my method for doing so is Super Game Boy, which runs a bit too fast.

November should be a good time for me to take a weekend and participate, if we get enough runners. I would suggest avoiding the weekend of the 27-29, as that is Thanksgiving weekend.

If you guys need someone to learn Legend of Mana and can point me to a route I might be able to help out if you need it. Have to check with my wife and see if I can pick up a copy of the game. I've seen a run or two before, and it's pretty interesting stuff. I would be available in November I'm sure.

Gerrick, I can pass you some information for the old route that I run. It was current until recently when SirVG tableflipped it with a new slightly different route. While I don't have full notes like Kartseven's FF7 notes, I can at least pass you a cheatsheet that silentoverseer shared with me.

Also it'd be Dragon storyline.

Cool. I've seen the run a couple of times here and there and it's pretty cool. I just thought I would offer to help fill out the relay. I would hope I could learn it in a couple of months time :). But any info would be cool.

I picked up the PSN version if that is ok for a run, I would rather use that then try to get a copy of the game. But I will learn the route and do runs. Currently I'm just watching the run and trying to emulate it. But this way if more are needed for LoM I will be available.

Sent Gerrick all the info that I could. Hopefully this helps out. I don't personally have an issue with the PSN version, since it doesn't have a FDS option, and we don't use FDS in the run anyway.

It does. You have to hit the PS button and go through the menus there. But yeah, we don't use FDS because it breaks the ending and causes issues with a few other things.

Actually Magus, I'm going to have to back down from the relay. My desire/interest in LoM anymore dropped significantly today and I don't honestly feel like playing it anymore. Message me if you want to know more, but I'm feeling pretty done.

Alright friends, currently it looks like we will have 4 runners for FFA, SoM and SD3 at the very least. It is unfortunate but i might have to drop LoM from the Relay if the turnup isnt that great, we could always have it as a bonus run though. Will see how things progress in the next 14-21 days.

So we are looking at 4 teams which is superb! I will make a first draft possibly next week of teams that i will put in this thread, but what do you guys suggest for Team Name Themes?

We can always use the Elemental Spirits, but im kind of at a loss for more. Anyways please give me your input!

If you have 4 teams, best thing to use would be Undine, Gnome, Salamander, and Syphid. Great quartet of elements that go together yet compete with each other.

Luna/Aura, Lumina, Shade, and Dryad are great too, but I don't think set the same compliment as the other 4.

Iconic monster names could be a good theme as well. Here are a few:

Pakkun, Poto, Rabite, Shadow Zero, Mushboom, Eye Spy

Recurring bosses could work, too:

Vampire, Metal Crab, Mantis Ant, Lich, Golem, Aegagropilon

I never noticed this. Put me up for Legend of Mana, I can do either Dragon or Faerie storyline. Also, PSN is absolutely not recommended for LoM, since on PS3 you lose a ton of time on loading screens alone

Absolutely. PS1 on PS2 or bust. I have the PSN version too and tried playing via PSTV and the load times are horrible. Also, I thought we contacted you on Twitter about it?

Anyways, if we have to use PSN version, I'm OK with that, but if anybody can only do that, just a notice that Legend of Mana is currently $2.99 on PSN. I can play that way, if need be.
