Y'er no match for me!
So I just picked up this game about an hour ago since someone mentioned it in a Twitch chat while I was watching a Twilight Princess runner.

It just came out on July 30th and the Steam description of it is: "A First Person Shooter Gun Ballet set in a cutesy abstract world. Jump and shoot your way through five worlds full of treacherous enemies with your trusty semi-automatic!" This is literally what it is! There are some really nice speed optimizations in this game and I've been getting really close to the WR times for the Individual Levels. This game is super upbeat and happy, seems really enjoyable to play.

Its normal price is $5.99 but it's currently 15% off until August 7th: http://store.steampowered.com/app/298600/

I'm currently at 2-1 in about an hour or so of just learning the game and trying to get the 3 stars for each level. Posted right off the FAQ on Steam:
Q - How do you get each of the stars?

A - Blue Star - Finish the level
Green Star - Finish the level under the 'Q' qualification time
Yellow Star - Finish the level with 100% accuracy (no wasted bullets)

World 1 has 15 levels, so 1-1 to 1-14 just as a heads up for now.
Thread title:
I'm really enjoying this game! I'm also really close to a couple of WR times on Individual Levels, I haven't gotten too far through the game cause I've been grinding one or two levels.

I think SS runs might be interesting too since you may have to go safe strats on some levels.

Its been a ton of fun so far for me! I had a WR time on 2-7 but someone found a faster time by like 3 seconds. Also Twitch doesn't have this game on their games list, but I put it in their Google Docs Spreadsheet so hopefully I'll be able to actually stream it with the correct name soon.

Can't you just type the name yourself? I streamed it for a bit yesterday.
My one problem with the game is the longevity - since there's no real specialized movement (strafejumping, bunnyhopping) and the levels are small and somewhat linear I think that once the faster route has been found that's pretty much the game dead - as anyone will be able to match it? Just something I've been thinking about for the ILs.

EDIT; Also did you have a 9.4x on 2-7?

I was probably doing it wrong then haha, I just had it as Tetris. You make a good point about longevity, but that's what other categories are for. I don't think all games have some sort of specialized movement. If you enjoy running the game then you'll probably keep going at it, y'know?

I had a 10.xx then when I played it the next day it was already at 7.xx

Ruling the cosmos!
Yo, I just picked up this game, and I might or might not hop on the train of running it, could be a fun speed game. But do either of you know what's up with the game suddenly gripin' at you about looking ahead on levels halfway through?
I finished the game the day it came out, and toyed with the thought of running it, but I'm pretty swamped with Shovel Knight atm, might try to get consistent and get a ss run together eventually.
Been some months since the game came out, and I've become a bit of an IL speed runner, with a bunch of solid times in worlds 3-5.
Was investigating creating some kind of group of other runners, competing for the WR times can get pretty fun and competitive.
