I have a couple of ideas of runs I would like to record, well, more technical demonstrations I guess. Ihe game I want to make vids for is pretty much virgin territory video wise. Problem is I have no idea at all how to go about doing it.

I am thinking of doing a few videos from Sega Saturn. I have the following things:

Japanese Saturn
1 not very good PC (1ghz/256mb)
Japanese VHS tape player

I am wondering what else I need to get going. Basically I know nothing at all about video capture. So if anyone has any pointers on what equipement I need and roughtly how much it should cost etc I would be super greatful.

Thanks very much for the info, I will read through it over the new year cause theres a lot to go through and I think I am going to need to do a bit of research here.

I will more than likely have a few more questions once I have gone through it though. Having watched a few runs my respect for runners (do you guys have a name for yourselves?) went up alot after I realised how hard it is to make speed runs..
