I can't remember what 3-5 is, but I do agree about 3-6.

I can complete the level with 95% consistency, but I haven't found a good tactic to defeat Anakin. Have you?
I completed it with many lucky pushes into the lava Tongue

Co-op would be marginally easier methinks Grin

3-5 is Ruin of the Jedi. It's really easy once you know the objects you have to force pull/push on and the correct path. The end is really time consuming though.

I beat Anakin by jump-pounding the ground on him 10 times and I did it very quickly. If you use co-op mode, you can use a really cheap trick by playing as him and jumping into the lava then quickly leaving so he hits the lava, and then joining back and repeating.

Any projected times for levels/episodes or general recording dates etc?

I don't have any yet, since I did all my estimates without my strategies.

If I'm really lucky I can at least get a trial run of 1-1 to 1-3 on friday, otherwise the chances of recording at all during the next week or so are slim.

Got a practice in today, wasn't that bad, except I had to use my other controller which is weird so I didn't do as well as I thought I could. 1-1 was FABULOUS except I had very bad luck with the c-3p0 spawn at the end.

Not dying takes a lot of skills and incessant blocking. Ergo, dying would speed things up a bit.

It would probably be more impressive without deaths, but I'm happy with either Wink

Sorry about the delay.

I finished episode 1 levels 1-3 (so now I'm on segment 2). Everything is going well (NO DEATH - I wasn't even trying for that!), except one:

I was practicing 3-4 (Defense of Kashyyyk) among other levels and my game started to glitch. Like someone I was about to kill would dissapear, then fall from the sky. Also I was at the end of 3-4, opened the ship to leave, and was about to walk into it, and suddenly I died, but the game thought I touched the ship and ended the level... It's going to take a while to do that segment.

something I just remembered: when speedrunning episode 1, i end up getting the gold and silver studs by the door. (I save and quit between segments) does this go against the consistency rule? (I don't even use the money)

I belive that if inconsistencies have no effect or a negative affect on gameplay they do not matter.
If you suddenly have less ammo/health it's fine, but more is not, so that should apply here.

Ask Radix for confirmation.

Studs don't really count I guess - you're not trying to collect'em all to buy characters or bonuses. And technically, you start every level at full health IIRC. So I don't think you'll have any consistency problems.

Man did I love this game... Anyways, I think you two are right about that. The FAQ only mentions things that actually affect the status of the player, not coins used for buying characters and stuff.

after looking over the first segment several times, I've concluded it sucks, and I will be re-doing it. however, I'm really sick right now, so it will take a little longer. I still plan to finish this run before christmas though. also, it actually seems that sub-hour is possible.

sorry about the time delay, stuff happened, you know

got a new first segment done (that doesn't suck), I get very lucky a lot in it. I die one time, not from enemies; I missed a really small jump when I had to go back for my other party members. it doesn't cost much time, but it looks really silly.

new 1st segment is like 2 mins faster than the old one.

I'm perfecting my pod race skills; I'm gonna need it.

i remember the pod racing being... really hard if you were trying to go fast i just sorta went slow and almost lost ehe

Yes, it took me more than an entire month to get this segment. I wanted no deaths in this segment, which is hard to do even without the bug on the second lap where a piece of rock falls out of place and kills you. You really don't want to know HOW many runs I failed. (I failed one at the VERY END, I was 0.1 seconds off the time required). At least it makes great material for bloopers.
