Fucking Weeaboo
I just finished a run of this game this morning.  I've got it on tape with a final time (according to the save file) of 3:32 in one long butt-numbing session.

I did make some minor flubs near the end (I forgot the setup I needed to trigger Alexandrite, Flourite, and Teardrop Crystal - how do I screw up 3 in a row?), but overall the run just kicks.  It follows my favorite path in the game, the Elazul/Pearl story.

Played on a PS2.

Any major objections to sending it in?

(I might try to encode it on my computer, but last time I tried I got bad audio lag...so we'll have to see. >_>

Did you use fast loading in your PS2? That will affect the final time.

Also, about that audio lag, was it also the same length of lag, at both the start and end of the video? If it was, you can use virtual dub to adjust it to the point where the audio matches up.
i woudl really like to see it , gj

Legend of Mana has an official timer, but either way, my VCR timer, in-game timer, and computer recording timer were all about the same.

The audio lag is progressive (it's right on in the beginning, but gets ahead as it goes along.  I'll figure a way around that...somehow.

I'm not sure what I have for settings turned on in my PS2.  I didn't go purposely change any, so unless it remembers them, it'll be the default.  I guess. >_>

Good to see the positive feedback though.

Edit: Actually, it speeds up I found out as I got to the end.  It's off by about a minute.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Best RPG on the planet? Most definately not.

I'll watch it, though.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
It is the most Freeform RPG I've ever seen, but I think a little more structure would have helped it as a game and for its story.  I too will watch a run though.

the only thing more boring than playing legend of mana would be to watch someone else do it.

on a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, this game scores a negative infinity.

brownie brown should be shot for the way they've shit on the sieken densetsu series.

Run it through virtual dub and have it sync the video to the audio. That should fix it. Most likely your video was going a few hundredths faster than the audio. Usually happens on slower hard drives.

Bleh...I've tried rerecording this at a lower bitrate (I chopped it in half from 2000kpbs to 1000kbps) and I find by about an hour in, it's desyncing ever so slightly (it's noticable though).  My system isn't weak either, which is what's really irritating me.

I guess I'll just have to mail my tape to Nate and let him take care of business.  How do I go abouts doing this?
