I heard that the Playstation 3 has slower load times (I think it was mentioned in a Mana series relay race from last year). Is that true for both the version off the PSN and running it off a disc or is running it off a disc give you the same result as if you were running it off Playstion 1?

I haven't tested on PS3 but PSN via PSTV is definitely worse than PS1 on PS2 (even on Standard Disc Speed).

Updated my Notes for Dragon using the slow walking Goblin
http://1drv.ms/1Vxe2mE

I PB'd kinda easily with this route, was even using the BlackElk, still got a 1:46 IGT.

Also for those interested, my Faerie notes.

Have screen captured a All Storylines route from Nico if anyone is interested. (Please do not share since it's not my video D: )
Run happened on the 2014年5月18日 with a time of 4:12:09.

The route using a glitch with Blacksmithing that makes possible to forge a 219 attack Power Hammer. But not sure if the hammer actually has 219 Attack Power... Glitch happens around 1:42 The receipts are :

Hammer made of EbonyWood
Reforge : Waterstone,  GlowCrystal,  Flaming Quill, Holy Water, Holy Water, Holy Water, Giant's Horn

Tested on US version and doesn't work unfortunately, but getting a 88 Attack Power with that.

Also have notes for Jumi Route from Sir_VG's run, but will clean them up down the road, still need to learn some stuff and clarify some mechanics (mostly the Day cycle stuff)

Pretty sure that's not because of a glitch, but because the JP and US versions of the game have different weapon power formulas (Hence why JP runs are faster since their weapons do a lot more damage)

Quote from Silentsigil:
I did a rough time comparison of killing Daena vs killing Escad. If you kill Daena, you are saving about 5 seconds. I still vote for killing Escad because he's a jerk.

Your time calculation takes into account the extra dialogue right before the Irwin fight where Escad dies anyways? I'm pretty sure it's faster anyways, because Daena is such a gabberqueen.

Very Thanks..!!
Huge thanks to Sabin for putting out the guides for all the routes, and to Sig for putting them all on the leaderboards.

I updated the leaderboards for Dragon to show which of the three pet/companions you choose for the run (Rabite/Goblin/Tomato) and updated all of the runs on the board with who runs what.

I'll be running Faerie at FAST Faire next weekend (the weekend of the 15th), which is a charity speedrun marathon that'll be at twitch.tv/fastfaire.

Submitted all three storylines to SGDQ, all three got rejected... again...

Somebody actually found a way around that snake that normally blocks your way on the Heaven's Gate Glitch? Awesome.

Note: You MUST wait until all enemies on the first battle arena are defeated if you try that (for those that do). If you don't, the game will LOCK UP AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RESET.

Ate the extra spicy banana
I'm curious as to why not doing Lost Princess and getting an Earthsplitter early on may influence things in Jumi route. Never 'ran' Jumi route and only just did my first casual playthrough of it last week. Curious how this influences AF drops/placement if it could be incorportated and then 'if you get BB, equip it, if not skip it' in Tower and just buy the Gold weapon when in Lumina as you would before.

Even if you have to put 1 AF down early to make sure you get enough AF's having that early game power could save a lot of time I'd think???
