Currently looking to see if there can be any improvements to the route. Currently just looking to see if any useful STs can be learned on the axe. Possibly Rising Crush. Also, 12.5% drop right off the bat is already fun :/

1. I start my timer after selecting the local map. Most people end theirs after they kill the Mana Goddess. I choose to end mine after FIN fades to try to estimate the IGT.
2. I don't have anything available, just my own personal notes.
3. Sorry you can't watch the videos. Hold your ISP hostage to get better internet. Or maybe use a site like www.keepvid.com to download the videos on YouTube.

Your Google Doc is inaccessable to those that aren't you. You need to enable sharing, which is done via the Share button in the upper right of the doc. Then click Advanced. Click "Change" under who can access and choose either of the on options. Can View is the default option (which is likely what you want). Click save, then edit your post with the new link.

Good research. A little hard to read, but probably cause I'm trying to skim.

Here's info related to Pee-Wee Birdie Items:

Menos Bronze - Get one from Golem Go Make Em, and Path of the Blacksmith
Baobab Wood - Drop from Wooding and Cursed Doll (Slot 4), or Purchase in a Level 2 shop [1320 Lucre]
Animal Hide - Drop from Teedie (Slot 3), Rabite, Grey Ox (Slot 4), and Molebear (Slot 5)
Topple Cotton - Purchase from Level 1 Shops (Domina is always Level 1) [60 Lucre]
Flat Seed - Drop from Lullabud, Shrieknip (Slots 7 and 8), and Malboro (Slot 7), or get at the end of The Wimpy Thugling (Yeah, get the one from The Wimply Thugling)
Citrisquid - Yellow Seed [Oblong?] x Yellow Seed (Yellow x White [Flat] 2nd best), or Get from Monster Corral (I haven't been able to get the seed combinations, so just keep the one from Monster Corral)
Rotten Meat - Drop from Zombine, Specter, and Ape Mummy (Slot 3)
Sulpher - Can be found in three chests, one in the Underworld and two in the Ulkan Mines or a Level 2 Material shop [300 Lucre] (I haven't tested the chests, that's just what FAQs report.)

I haven't bothered with smithing in any of my 100% runs (or even in casual play, for that manner). In my last attempt, I tried to get a Polterbox pet to allow for higher level drops, like SnowDeer from Goblin (Slot 6, 1H Axe ATK 40) but unfortunately the pet I got wasn't what I needed. You can only get Polter Eggs in two spots: Top of Tower of Leires and from where you fight the bosses in the Junkyard. I could also use it to get some high-50 low-60 ATK weapons from Moldy Goo or Dainslaif, if the Polterbox + their levels allow me to get their Lv 8 slot. If a build session is quick enough, that could be a better option, but it depends on builds which I REALLY need to spend some time with.

I haven't done much for Legend of Mana runs as of late. I did try a run earlier this year on PS Vita (via PS TV) and it's slower than me running it using a PS1 disc on PS2, both on Standard Disc Speed.

I basically picked up a EarthSplitter 2H Axe after The Lost Princess from the Goblins, instead of buying IronGloves in Lumina and going for SpiralClaw from Narcissos. That's the only change I made in the route. I didn't make any changes in The Flames in regards to route.

Actually, not all of the weapons are weaker in the US version compared to the Japanese. There's quite a few the same and actually I did find ONE that got a boost (Levantine spear got a +3 boost).

SacredBow is the biggest loser at a FIFTY point drop, based upon what I found via the Ultimania guide. I've got things in a spreadsheet.

EDIT: Accidentally called Flying Sawblades "Spinning Sawblades" :B

@PX__ When SilentOverseer and I were trying to figure out a better strategy with the axe for the route, we figured out that the two best abilities for it are Spinning Sawblades and Rising Claw. Flying Sawblades is a good AOE for the Peaks getting rid of the pesky two onions and imps between the first two birdbrains, as well as the not-so-jolly green giants later on. Rising Claw is a good stun for Akravator if you can pull it off during one of his abilities.

We optimized it with how best to get them both with best Earthsplitter luck (first drop) from the very start of the game. Unfortunately, the changes meant more menuing in the game, but I'm fairly certain everyone here is quick enough with their menus that this wouldn't be a huge loss of time.

Instead of doubling up on Defend at the beginning, you'd have Lunge and Defend so when you defeat the first boss you'd get Lunging Arc (for Braveblade later on), then at the goblins you'd get Earthsplitter and Counterattack.
When you get Earth, you'd do a quick menu to change lunge and defend to Spin and Counterattack. Done correctly, you'd get Counterstrike at or around the knight and black eyes in the Underground.
Once you get counterstrike, switch the Counterattack ability to a second spin. As soon as you get to the peaks (not the forest beforehand), you'd get Flying Sawblades. Menu to change both Spins to Jump, set Flying Sawblades to R1 (or if you use R1 to attack cancel, L1).
I can't remember which set of mobs, but before you get to Akra, you'd get Rising Claw (I believe it was near the top, but before the two birds before Akra). Last menuing before Braveblade and you'd just change to Counterstrike x2 (or just one for more optimization), Sawblades to R1, Rising Claw to R2.

If you can hit Rising Claw on Akravator, it does a pretty good amount of damage to him. I believe with max optimization we were able to hit 2 counters and then Rising Claw to take him out really fast.

tl;dr -

Menu at beginning -
Lunge
Defend
Rising Crush

Menu after Earthsplitter -
Equip Earthsplitter
Spin
Counterattack

Menu after Counterstrike -
Spin
Spin

Menu after Flying Sawblades -
Jump
Jump
Flying Sawblades

Menu after Rising Claw -
Counterstrike

Menu after Braveblade -
Equip Braveblade

Very Thanks..!!
Finally going to start learning Faerie sometime this week or next. Depending on how well that goes, I'll probably start learning Jumi soon after.
Tifa and SirVG, any particulars I should know about going into Faerie, or should I just try to follow your WR VOD?
