I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Alright, well Zeto is down and the first mist generator is destroyed.

Total Time: 2:31:16

Significantly better than I anticipated quite honestly, not to mention I can see shaving off 20-30 minutes with planning ahead
and doing better with encounters/movement/bosses etc.

However the BIG problem is bosses, since I'm running this on a emulator I'm able to save state the crap out of the boss battles and I'll just say this:
Songi with lvl3 Gala is GAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYtarded! Using a shield elixir, fury boost, and my point card it still took untold amounts of
reloading my save states to win that battle.

Zeto was much easier however, even though I didnt get the Deep Sea Jewel (I havent been planning ahead at all this run and I'm just taking notes as I go for
what to do next time)

As of right now I am right outside Biron Monastery with levels of 8,8,7 for Vahn Noa and Gala respectively.

EDIT: I reloaded to right before I entered Zeto's Dungeon, and I noticed that I was very few exp away for Gala to hit lvl4. So I made sure that my Vera fight came
with a Zenoir to ensure enough exp for his lvl up. Saved a total of 5 minutes from my previous total time. Time and final levels have been updated

Some of my quick notes to help so far are as follows:

To get the point card you dont have to go finish Mt. Rikuroa like I once thought, just leave Rim Elm then come right back and the drawer is unlocked
Buy 3 defender chains when you leave Drake, as this is the only time they are available for awhile
GET NIGHTO!!!!!! Not only is this absolutely necessary for Beserker later on but confusing one of the Viguros is just about the only way you are surviving that boss battle
Songi is the one reason I am considering leveling up a bit in Zeto's castle, making this fight faster (and Zeto afterwards) might actually save more time than it takes to level up

I'm going to keep on going with this and hopefully the overall time will be a lot closer to 10 hours then I previously thought.
The Camera Obscura had no effect
Wow, that's really impressive! I hadn't thought about Nighto being overly helpful, but I guess i can see why it would be now.
Are you able to win fights in Zeto's dungeon easily? Well, at least without consuming a whole lot of resources you might need later? I can see why level grinding would make bosses (and Songi in particular) much easier, but leveling takes forever in Legend of Legaia anyway, and the fights are long...it's definitely worth a try, but I doubt leveling would make any significant difference unless you grind up to where Gala can perform arts without Spiriting.

Couldn't tell ya, I haven't fought a single random battle since getting Nighto in West Voz. (ok one, I got Vera for Gala fought lvl2 gimmard and vera, it was cake)

Yea I'm really starting to second guess the leveling thing. I mean with being able to run from so many battles and the next boss being able to die in one hit
I think I might wait until far later to actually fight random battles again, because the longer I wait (but not too long, I want to actually be able to kill
the monsters) the less time I spend lvling overall.

So I guess next is Beserker, and if anyone wants to run a parallel trial run with me that would be great, I'd love a second set of opinions and
routes and such. Especially now, because in Drake kingdom there isnt much route planning to do, but the Sebucus Islands is where things
really start to open up.

I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Alright! Vidna, Jeremi, Octam, and the Shadow Gate are all passed. And I am now currently on the fire path.

Beserker was pure cake going down in one turn thanks to Nighto. Most of the time in Sebucus has been pure overworld
travel. But now that i have most destinations visited the Doors of Wind will definitely cut down on travel time huge.

I have fought just one random battle and that was to obtain Orb. I'm not going to spoil it for you all so I'm keeping my
time a secret until I either beat the whole run or just the Sebucus Islands, but I'll just say its better than I anticipated.

I have a feeling though, that I'm about to hit the first infuriating snag of the run fairly soon. Xain is coming up here
in a few and as of right now everyone is level 9. I'm not positive but I believe beating Xain with a lvl 9 party
is somewhere in the realm of.............impossible.

Then again you never know until you try so I'll be back with a good ol' edit here within the next couple hours or so.

EDIT: VICTORY!!!!!!! It took fifteen minutes, nearly all my healing supplies, tons of save states, and the death of Gala but its done!
Beating Xain with a lvl 9 team is possible, but very very very very unlikely.

Here was the basic gist of the battle:

1. Everyone Spirit
2. Xain uses Bloody horns
3. Heal and all out attack
4. Reload till Xain used Bull charge
5. Everyone Spirit
6. Xain uses Terio Punch
7. Repeat steps 3-6 till Vahn runs out of MP for Orb
8. Use point card
9. Pray to god you live through two more turns to kill Xain

That was about it, simple but effective. However I think I need to find a spot at some point to do some quick leveling before this battle. I don't know where
and I don't know how much to level but if one random battle takes about a minute and I level up twice before fighting Xain assuming that I need to fight about 15 random
battles to level that amount and that it will cut about three minutes off of the battle time I will lose about 12 minutes leveling.

However this doesnt take into account the money I will make from fighting to purchase new equipment later thereby powering up my team and my now depleted point card,
but also the fact that the later bosses will also be faster as well. But this is something that I will test later.

Now, onto Ratayu!
The Camera Obscura had no effect
Congratulations! Xain's hard enough on a normal run...glad to see you could speed through him.
Do you think you could make it to Sol before stopping to grind? I think it's best if you can get all the way through without ever having to stop to level, but that might be outright impossible...I just think you should wait as ong as you possibly can so that when you do grind it's much more efficient (well, probably) and...you know...you may find you never need to after all. ; ) Of course, Sol has Gaza and Gaza is brutal, so yeah.
Good luck with Von Saryu! And the evil dog guardian things. Are you planning to get the Kemaro spell for Vahn and Gala, or just one (or neither)?

Both, no questions asked. Being this low level and (as of right now) dealing damage in only the 500s AFTER sprirting
is just god awful. Being able to hit for 2k dmg possibly twice in a row with Vahn and Gala will be imperative to
even being able to come close to touching Van Saryu. (But first I need to make it through Songi again.........damn I
am not looking forward to that)

Quote:
Do you think you could make it to Sol before stopping to grind?

Yea I might be able to do that, the leveling idea is only a potential idea for the next run. As of right now
I'm just going to keep pushing ahead until I am literally stopped dead in my tracks by a boss (Songi on Letona comes to mind,
Hyper Crush- Uber move that hits everyone + No hint as to when its coming= A whole lot of angry me)

Hopefully I will never have to stop and level but if I do I am waiting until the last possible second to do it,
however a few battles in Sol will have to be fought. Spoon is just a necessity.

Number one advice right now is POINT CARD FTW! Unfortunately I have had to sell 90% of the sweet items I've
gotten so far (All waters and elixirs, target chain, speed chain etc.) to be able to buy equipment to have a hope
in hell of surviving any attacks from anyone at this point. But being able to unleash the point card is definitely
my ace in the hole for this run.

Good thing is that I can see many things that I can improve upon for my next trial run to be able to fight
much more efficiently. Xain was much less infuriating that I had initially thought and I'm pretty sure that in the
next run he won't be a cause for much more than 20 or so restarts (which is really not that bad).

But as I said I'd love for someone to run a parallel run with mine to compare with. I have all my saves up to
this point if anyone wants me to put them up. I also think I might start capturing my segments now to post up
but there is so much save stating/loading that I'd have to edit the crap out of it to be able to put it anywhere.
Evermore Extrodinare ᕦ(° Д°)ᕤ
Kemaro = pure love, Gaza get his arse KICKED by that spell. *Somehow I was dealing 2.6k a shot on him when I fought him around I think...God it's been a while but I know it was higher than 2k.* I haven't had a chance to even move forward with my run -_- due to the fact that the controller I use for my emulator CRAPPED OUT ON ME >< So if I do a run it'd have to be a "safe" run on an actual Playstation :<

You seriously might want to hit lvl 10 before Xain just so he'll go down faster, and you won't have to use ALL your healing items to get very very very very very lucky Tongue

I'll see if I can't get to him afap on a reg playstation and see if lvl 10 is even plausible and test time it without save states DX
I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Alright well after about three weeks of testing on and off I will surmise that this game is officially too long to run here on SDA.

There is one reason, and one reason only why this is so: Sol Tower.

I made it to Sol with just over 5 hours on the game clock, and I can see being at about 4:30 with better planning and execution,
however getting the Soru Bread for the sages chests take FAR too much time no matter how you try to go about it.

Buying 8 Soru Bread at 6000 apiece makes for 48000G, seeing as how I had about 3000G after buying the equipment I needed
just to survive the random battles in Sol, that money isnt going to come quickly.

The other way soru bread is attainable is through the Muscle Dome, at 100 coins a pop its 800 coins for all of them. Which,
conveniently enough, is how much you win for beating the beginner rank of the arena. The only problem is that its fought
with one character, through eight battles and the final fight is Xain.

No matter how one would go about this, the fact remains that it would take FAR too much time and probably put
you over the seven hour limit just beating Sol Tower alone.

So as much as I love this game and as much as I hate to see the speed run die, unless a break or great strat comes out
to get these soru bread quickly, I'm halting my run of this game and going to focus my attention on something else. (Arcus Odyssey comes to mind)
Waiting hurts my soul...
you gave it a good effort and I commend you for that.  I would have definitely liked to have seen this on sda.  How much more of the game is left past Sol Tower?

maybe you should do a test run of xenogears to see how slow (long) that would be?  Grin
I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Past Sol Tower equals maybe another 40% of the game left to go I believe.......

So you're looking at around 12-13 hours total for this run if you pull it off near flawless,
because you have to fight Gaza twice in Sol then move to Usha Research Center, then
Uru Mais which are both very text heavy. Then Nivora Ravine to which you fight the
three Delilases and Koru.

Afterwards you have Zora's Castle, then after that you have a whole lot more to do
including 5 more boss battles.

Not to mention the last quarter of the game is FAR more text heavy than the rest..........
however I will eventually finish a speed run of this game just for posterity's sake.
It just wont be very high up on my to-do list........
The Camera Obscura had no effect
Ohhh, I'd totally forgotten about the Soru bread. Yeah, that'll be nasty.
Well, thanks for the effort anyway. If you ever do finish the run, be sure to let me know - I'd really like to see it, even if it's 14 hours long.  Cheesy
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So I've been playing this game recently, and I just found two words of hope for you (or whoever might wind up running this game):

Baka Fighter.

You can play it in one of the two machines near the entrance to the Muscle Dome, it costs nothing to play, and apparently if you manage to defeat all the fighters in the game, you'll rack up 400+ coins, enough for two full runs to get you enough to buy all the Soru Bread you need.

It's a minigame that's sort of like a simplified fighting game, your characters' levels have no bearing on how difficult the game is.

And by "runs" I meant two full completions of the minigame, defeating all the fighters in it each time. It shouldn't take you more than 10-15 minutes to complete the game both times.

feasible for 1 segment, or do you think it should be two? I hope Ryuken sees this and is able to continue his test run.
Okay, guys.  In case you guys were wondering, I played this game several times and known the whole game like the back of my hand.  I loved it then and I still love it today.

First of all, it does take quite a bit to complete the entire Drake Kingdom event.  You guys pitched in some nice ideas I never thought of, but there are some things I was comfortable with...

Trio vs. 2 Viguros:  Of course, a pain in the ass.  You might get by with maybe a LV6 character wearing a Thunder Egg obtained from West Voz because it is likely increased defense from Viguro's Thunder Breaks.  It is a good idea to use agressive spells you can summon and carry lots of Phoenixes.

Zeto:  Some of you might have once read that you can buy 2 Deep Sea Jewels from Biron and obtain 1 in a hidden spot next to the dead Genesis Tree at West Voz.  Each "spirited" character equipped with this accessory can take 300 to 500 damage pts. if they ever come across Zeto's Big Wave.

Arrived at Sebucus Islands?  I start putting my point card to use as I walk in-and-out of Jeremi and go straight to Vidna!  From there, I talk with some fat guy standing next to a slot machine.  I get the free coins and I rely on luck to line up three fists in the slot machine for three bonus games.  In the bonus games, I line up three 10's across the center to get 1000 coins, and ending each sequence with 3000 coins.

I take all my coins back to the fat guy, and I exchange only for stuff that has the highest selling values so I can get thousands of G.  In Vidna, I look for an item/accessory (not weapons/items/armor) that has the most expensive value.  And I use all the G to buy as much of the item as I can.  That is when the point card adds up in the 1,000's!

In Sol, I did the entire slot-machine method at the Muscle Dome.  I exchanged money for Vitality Rings.  I would get 10 or more.  And each Vitality Ring would give me 25,000 G a piece!  I would buy and sell Mettle Gems, I think, and the next thing that happened was that my point card value was already over 80,000.  That was enough to complete both the Jette and 1st Cort battles at Absolute Fortress.  So basically, I learned that the most expensive items in that game leads to an unbelievable value added to the point card!

While going through the Muscle Dome and playing Baka Fighter is a decent way to get coins, I thought it would be quicker if you know how the slot machine works from the inside out!

..................Holy crap, I feel like a complete retard for not picking up on that!

It never even occurred to me to try Baka Fighter, not only is it faaaaaaar faster than the muscle dome all enemies follow a specific pattern for each level. (They stray from the pattern randomly but as long as you know the overall pattern your still fine)

Well Zenic I have indeed seen this and am now officially back and more powerful than ever! It's nice to see that you still want to see this run pushed through after all this time too, it makes running it seem a little more worthwhile.

Absolutely, the Thunder Egg is a nessicity in that fight. It needs to go on Noa so she can focus on attacking constantly. Unfortunately aggressive spels at this point are less likely for two reasons:

1. Minus gimmard Vera and Nighto my current plan of attack has no other random battles or seru whatsoever. Now I'm not saying im not open to trying it, but the time it would take to fight, aquire and summon said seru plus the MP drain will probably hurt more than it would help.

2. I can't really think of any specific Seru that would be that much stronger than Gimmard for that fight. (Theeder is good.......but thunder elemental which means pointless against Viguro)

I definately planned on picking up the one jewel but I felt at the time that it was overkill to buy two more with my limited funds. However with your slot machine suggestion as well it seems ill have nothing but money to burn so I may do that as well.

HOLY ****! I think this maybe the biggest gamechanger that this game could get. With money no longer being an issue, not only will I be able to snag the best equipment but no boss battle should last more than one turn. And as long as I calculate how much i need to sell to kill each boss in one turn or so I can just keep all of the extra to be able to reload my pointcard as long as there is a shop before the next boss.

I honestly expected this run to just die out, but you guys have brought back all my motivation for this run and then some. Portal you absolutely rock! And Tilus thank you for breaking down the one MAJOR road block that I've found in this run. I am so stoked to start this back up again now! I'm going to start a new test run from scratch and hopefully be able to capture my run as I go.

This seems to be a pretty under the radar game so I'm going to need all the input I can get, but as of right now I really think I may be able to do a sub-11 run and at the very least have it not only planned out but a full trial completed by December!
This is great. The slot machine by itself COMPLETELY changes how the game is played. You only have to beat Caruban, 2 Viguros, Songi, Zeto, and Berserker using regular battle methods. From Xain till Juggernaut/Cort you can just abuse the pointcard! Sub-11 looks very doable. In fact, I'd say you can even do better considering it took you only 5 hours to get to Sol.(although it was on an emulator I believe) I think this run can be done in a reasonable amount of time.

Absolutely, I'm not too sure on the specific time I'd be able to finish in because those last few hours will be so text driven. However I will say that based on the slot machine idea and Baka fighter (if that ends up being faster than the slot machine just for soru bread) I can honestly look at cutting 40-60 minutes off of my earlier 5 hour time for up to Sol. Boss battles are absolutely what eat up 90% of my time right now. I mean Xain took 15-20 just by himself.

With this new trial run I wont be as strict on myself with random battles as I was in my first one, I don't want to try to give myself a TAS time here. But nevertheless I'm expecting a drop of at least 10-15 minutes by the time I beat Zeto, and for my time to only get drastically better from there. And because I enjoy reading a runners route plans for each of his segments, before I start a new segment I'll let you guys know what to expect. And I don't expect any segment to take me longer than a day or so at this point. Thankfully I'll be able to start running this game again tomorrow, so by tomorrow night or the following morning I'll have segment one posted on youtube.

The only downside for exchanging earned coins for fat-man and Muscle Dome prizes is that the player has to keep selecting the same item over-and-over again until (s)he doesn't have enough coins for another.  In other words, the Vitality Ring at Muscle Dome is worth 1000 coins last time I checked, and for example the player had 6000 coins.  The game forces the player to sit there and select the Vitality Ring 6 times instead of what would've been an option where the player can just simply set quantity to 6.  The fat-man and Muscle Dome prize counters, and the armory shops does not let the player select quantity when buying something.  I thought that would be annoying.  But if it adds up dramatically and everything is figured out right, let's see how it would play out in this game!

Be careful, because although luck can easily be manipulated if it was played on an emulator, the slot machine is one of the most difficult in-game games I've played.

I forgot to add to the Sebucus Islands arrival: Once you walk in and out of Jeremi, that means you already visited there and should warp back to there using a Door of Wind.  But before you go back to Jeremi, make sure you're finished doing business with the fat-man slot machine in Vidna or if you think your point card value is high enough to defeat Berserker.  I once read Berserker has 5000 to 6000 HP, so draining a point card with anything over that should easily do an 1HKO (1 hit knock out) on Berserker.

Another thing I forgot to add was that I went from zero to 80,000 on my point card just by constantly buying and selling expensive items/accessories in Sol.  Just be sure you use your time wisely when you adjust your point card.  Make sure you have more than enough for high-class battles like Jette, Cort, and 3rd Songi - because they can't be defeated in one turn from what I heard.

Hey guys sorry for the long wait, my network card on my laptop went out and i havent had any internet for about 10 days now. (I actually still dont have internet, I'm at work right now hahaha)

I wanted to wait until I had the first four segments out but I don't want to keep you guys wating anymore so here is Segment 1 Part 1 Segment 1 Part 2 and Segment 2

These are not quite the quality I'm going to shoot for in my actual run, but I just want to use this trial run as a base timer and a route checker. Nevertheless I still had to retry segment 1 about 25-30 times before I found one I liked. Here are my thoughts (please post your own as well, feedback is awesome)

Segment 1:

-Made the mistake of responding "What hunting clothes?" to Mei resulting in about an extra 2 seconds of dialogue. No big deal for a trial but would have been an instant restart in an actual run.

-Pretty quick Tetsu tutorial, it surprised me how difficult it was to get this done quickly with no menu errors

-Gimmard went down in 5 turns which only happened about 15-20% of the time, that little bastard loves to block art attacks

-I manually initiate the next gimmard fight to absorb him, goes down in 4 turns which is the lowest amount of turns I was able to get.

-Talking to Mei may not be faster than just running back to the house but its beneficial for two reasons 1) It gets me Mei's Pendant 2) Guaranteed no random encounters

-The rest was short and sweet with leaving, coming back to get the point card and saving. Final segment time clocking in at 15:45

Segment 2:

-My inital plan was to take this segment all of the way to  just before Caruban, however after about 15-20 tries I decided to keep this one where it was and just save and be done with it. I still plan to take this one to Caruban during my actual run but I REALLY want to get this trial run up and done with so I can get the real deal into motion

-The loading screen is soooooo lagtastic.......

-I think I now know what the bane of this run will be: running from random encounters. I cant tell you how many attempts died because I was still in a battle with a slime after my 4th running attempt. This one wasnt too bad, I made it out of most encounters fairly quickly and had only two random battles on the way to Drake Castle

-I decided to fight one battle here to raise a level before heading to Mt. Rikuroa, I chose two skeletons because since I was using gimmard the battle was going to take the same amount of time no matter what I fought so I picked the encounter that would give me the most exp

-Still on the fence about the dream sequence in the Fire Book room, I want to try to find a way to skip it.....but the HP MP recovery seems too valuable at this point.

So there you have it, the first two are done. Even with no internet access I plan to keep recording segements at home and posting them when I come to work. So expect a couple more withihn the next few days.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So, I was looking through your thread, and I've seen a lot of people talk about how heavy this game is on random encounters, but no real discussion on how to avoid any of the random encounters.  I don't know how many of you frequent the threads for other RPGs, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot of technical info about how/when random encounters are determined in different games.  For example, in FFIX every time you enter a different room, your encounter rate is reset, or in FFVII on the fields, saving and resetting will reset your encounter rate, and also some deal with your step count and walking/running can prolong times without encounters.

Well, I explained that, to just give a suggestion here.  Since you're doing things on the emulator for testing anyways, why not try to take a look into the game itself, and determine if there's any methods that you can abuse so you won't have to rely too heavily on luck with random encounters in your actual run of the game?  Just an idea, but unfortunately, I don't know enough about those types of things to go in and help you look myself, so sorry for that.

Anyways, good luck, I love this game, and know it fairly well, so you have my support/help if I can ever lend a hand any other way.  Looking forward to watching more of your test segments. ^^
1 year later... Ryuken pm/post everything youve learned from this game. Im doing a test run.

I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
So its officially been two years since i've posted in this topic however I have jumped back into this run on and off in these last few years.

I have been doing some fairly extensive testing in Vidna with the slot machine game and its not quite as speed friendly as I might have hoped..........the slot machine game is just as difficult as Portal was saying. The luckiest I have ever gotten in my 200 tests was three bonus game jackpots in a row. So I have decided that I would break up the segments into 2 jackpots per segment. I can get an average of about two minutes per double jackpot segment counting the time it takes to run into Vidna and back out again. So for every 2 minutes I will be able to earn 6000 coins if done perfectly (technically 5997 coins when you count the 3 it costs to play). I also timed how long it took to purchase 99 of an item from slot machine guy, run over to the closest merchant, sell them and come back. Oddly enough that was also about 2 minutes.

There are 11 different items you can buy from the guy next to the slot machine, however three of them are one time buys: the War Soul, Spirit Jewel, and Guardian Ring.

So with that knowledge in hand I decided to calculate exactly how much cash I would need to fill up my point card to the correct amount for all of the bosses from Vidna until I reached Sol tower and the next available slot machine.

Boss HP from Vidna to Sol

Xain: 9511 Hp
Songi: 12888 Hp
Van Saryu: 13245 Hp
Dohati: 17200 Hp

Total Boss Hp: 52844

Total Money Needed to reach 52844 points:

52844*20(1 point per 20G spent) = 1,056,880G

Coin and Sale values of items in Vidna
(And G per coin value)

War Soul: 1000/30000    = 30
Spirit Jewel: 800/15000  = 18.75
Guardian Ring: 400/4000 = 10
Fury Boost: 150/1000      = 6.667
Power Elixir 80/750        = 9.375
Shield Elixir 80/750          = 9.375
Speed Elixir 80/750        = 9.375
Phoenix 50/800              = 16.0
Heavy Lure 10/200          = 20.0
Normal Lure 5/150          = 30.0
Light Lure 2/100            = 50.0

Total Needed for $1,056,880

Fury Boost: 1,057 = 158,532 coins
Any Elixir: 1,409 = 112,734 coins
Phoenix:    1,322 = 66,055 coins
Heavy Lure: 5,285 = 52,844 coins
Normal Lure: 7,046 = 35,229 coins
Light Lure: 10,569 = 21,138 coins

Then with that I calculated the total amount of time needed to acquire the 1 Million G for each item to figure out the fastest way to go about this.

Minutes needed to reach coin goal
( (Total coins needed/6000)*2 )

Fury Boost: 52.9
Elixirs : 37.6
Phoenix:  22
Heavy Lure: 17.7
Normal Lure: 11.75
Light Lure: 7.05

Minutes needed to purchase total amount of items
( (Total number needed/99)*2 )

Fury Boost: 21.4
Elixirs: 28.46
Phoenix: 26.7
Heavy Lure: 106.8
Normal Lure: 142.3
Light Lure: 213.5

Total time needed to earn coins and purchase

Fury Boost: 1:14:20
Elixirs: 1:06:08
Phoenix: 0:48:42
Heavy Lure: 2:04:30
Normal Lure: 2:34:03
Light Lure: 3:40:33

So in theory I should be able to get over one million G in about 50 minutes, the only thing is I don't know how time effective that would be. Doing 50 minutes worth of work just to prepare for 4 bosses.......I am currently in the process of seeing about how much time that will save in total. I'll get back with my results as soon as I get them. Seeing as how all of my timing numbers are theoretical I am also going to do a real time attempt of the money gathering  and will post final results of that as well.

EDIT: Ok I have done a real time test and with starting coin collection at 2:52:00 I ended at 3:22:30 for a total time of 30:30 for coin collection, even though I ran on an emulator I did run outside and save after every two jackpots to simulate a real time. For item purchasing it took me a total of 22:20 to purchase and sell the phoenixes required to reach my 1.05 million goal. This time also includes buying all new armor for everyone and purchasing enough magic leaves and phoenixes (at a 50% mark up) to hit 9545 points on my point card which is 34 more points than I need to kill Xain but I have enough leeway to let that slide.

So now I'm going to run a parallel run with the point card where I fight the bosses without it to see how much time I will actually be saving with this card. It will have to be more than 50 minutes to make this worth it.
I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Well once again it's official, this run will be far too long for SDA. I did a test run and there is no question that the time spent getting all of the extra cash was worth it. I saved 15 min on the Xain fight alone, plus another 20 on Songi, 22 on Van Saryu and another 18 on Dohati. So well over an hour worth of time was saved on the boss fights.

Unfortunately that isnt the only time I would have to coin gather, from there its Sol tower where I gathered all the coins I would need for the rest of the game:

Sol Tower Items:

Vitality Ring  1000/25000 = 25
Magic Ring      500/10000  = 20
Healing Berry  250/1500  = 6
Incense          200/1000    = 5
Fury Boost      150/1000  = 6.67
Soru Bread:    100/3000  = 30

Bosses Hp

Gaza: 12,000
Sim Gaza: 15,000
Koru: 20,000
Zora: 22,422
Rogue: 28,200
Jette: 34,567
Cort: 50,000
Songi: 48,000
Final Cort: 65,535

Total Hp: 295,724

Total G's Needed: 5,914,480

Total Soru Bread Needed: 1,972 (Estimated Time: 40 min)

Total Coins Needed: 197,200 (Estimated Time: 66 min)

Total Estimated Time: 1:46:00

Total Vitality Rings Needed: 237 (Estimated Time: 5 min)

Total Coins Needed: 237,000 (Estimated Time: 79 min)

Total Estimated Time: 1:24:00

I did a real time collection of the Vitality Rings and got about 1:32:40, putting me at just over 6 hours before even touching anything in Sol Tower. However I continued the test run just to see what my final time would be, I completed Sol Tower in just under 7 hours. Then it was on to Usha and Uru Mais, after the TimeSpace Bomb was made I was at Nivora Ravine at about 7:40. Then the real roadblock hit, The Delilases.

These are three one on one battles with no boss having less than 9500 Hp and with no saves inbetween. With no breaks in between I cant utilize the point card for anyone, and even with Noa who is my strongest fighter at the moment I cannot deal more than 950 damage with a combo. With some save state usage I was able to beat all three after about 45 min bringing my time over 8 1/2 hours. I was able to deal with Koru in two turns immediately after however.

Then it was off to Zora's Castle, I was in and out and after all cutscenes stood at right around 9 hours. Off to Conkram, fighting Rogue and Jette, then warped out to add more points onto my card. Unfortunately that adds about another 10-15 minutes on just for backtracking. Then killing cort, going back to rim elm, seru-kai, fighting Songi for the last time, and then the Bio Castle and finishing off Cort put my final time for my run at 11:58:06. I could see with some more optimization getting around a 11:20-11:30 but thats about as far as I think the game could be pushed with the strategies I currently have. Almost three hours alone are dedicated to coin and point gathering which cannot be cut out, then with all of the slow overworld travel and cutscenes the boss battles are the least difficult/time consuming part or the run.

So finally three years after I first posted in this topic I have an official trial run time and I will say that while running this game would certainly be a challenge for any runner to undertake, its not one that can be undertaken at SDA at this point in time.
