We also found that you can bomb boost around the cutscene from the other side of the bridge. Not really sure on the fastest way across, but it'll definitely save time.
And i think there's a super tight bomb boost from the near side as well, but it's probably pixelish perfect.

So I made a video showing the consistency that can be the opening IL strat to get OOB for twisting bridge. RTA always takes a slower route that I don't think is necessary. Here's the video with explanation. I'm a little quiet but I hope the explanation is clear.

So... I know most of you guys might not care because it's X360 and segmented, but I just got sub 20 combined total time!

I need help with this:



Some things to note:

1) The loading trigger for the next area is the 4th spider tile (the one closest to the stairs with the scrolling fire). You need to hit that in order to not crash the game when OOB.
2) You actually only need 1 spear instead of 2
3) For the 'put the halo on the corner' part, I now drop a bomb, then neutral jump before holding down and left. Once Lara starts moving that way I detonate the bomb. I have much better consistency that way.
4) I always bomb jump the gap now. It's so much safer.
5) I've gotten to the part I highlight with my mouse. By the lava fall. It's very difficult to check anything out over there since you can't see anything. I know there's a trainer or something that allows you to move the camera around and I know that someone has it. Perhaps that person wouldn't mind peeking around that corner to see if we can indeed skip most of this level.
6) The only part that auto kills you is before that difficult jump where I start to walk the edge. Once you move up a bit you can freely roam around but the lava river is as far as I can seem to get.

I would even settle for just getting down to the spot after the tricky jumps which I always die on instead of actually making it to the end of the level.

Found a new technique which allows Lara to fly around in certain areas. Calling in grapple gliding. I'll post a video soon.

Both of those are known already.

UTDread and DrTChops found a ~4-6 second time saver in Flooded Passage co-op where you despawn all of the wall-barriers-that-go-down-when-you-press-switch at the end of the level. You do it by spawn clipping out of the fight room and avoiding a trigger just after the door.
Well if people posted stuff I'd know what's been found and not have to spend my time on it. Everyone I showed it to had no idea about it. Was this known?

I did this for fun and seductivespatula helped me test its consistency. He also timed it and it's slightly faster and well lol it looks cool. Basically if you jump after grappling (as in coop) you can skip climbing the rope in this room and just grab the ledge instead. Even if you don't get the ledge it's less rope time (which pleases me so). Also ignore my livesplit on the side.

Hi, I've been making videos for (as far as i know), new skips or alternatives. Daz_Fr suggested I post them all here and it seems Fatalis already posted the first one.

The second skip I found is an alternative to ball strat in Mirror's wake. It's not the easiest to setup but I'm showing it exists.



The third and definitely most significant is an alternative to ball strat in Temple Grounds removing the need to use the ball at all. This should definitely save time but I haven't tested it fully yet as I only found it today.

I re-uploaded it because I found a better place to aim (the corner). Also, Fatalis and Daz_Fr, how did you complete Temple Grounds in 32 seconds? You're on the leaderboards.

I completed Temple Grounds using this strat in 43.666 seconds! I did this with the north pillar, which seems easier to aim the first shot.

There's already a faster spearwarp for TG.
I saw that and it looks too risky when you're climbing off. Which is the problem I had before I got a better place to aim but I haven't checked yours to see if there is one.

That was already found about 2 years ago and used by Fatalis in his IL 1st place. I'd been practicing that the past few days and have started using it in my runs. Going to submit my first run soon, it'll probably be around 6-7th place.

I didn't get it recorded yesterday but in Belly of the Beast you can throw a spear just as the cutscene starts and it'll hit.

Edit (again):
While practising Belly of the Beast I got a moonjump from the edge of the wall. Very odd. Hopefully it can be applied to something else in the game. Afaik moon jump could only be done from physic objects?

This has probably also be known for a long time, but sometimes i get these "super jumps" which are something like 1.5-2x the length of a regular jump. Anyone know what's causing that to happen? It could be useful if we could trigger that manually. I made a little comparison video, it's especially noticeable in the first shot.

It's autojumping to the second platform.
Once or twice I've gotten stuck in a state where every jump is a super jump, it's pretty great as long as you don't need a lot of precision. Back to normal on death.

They are definitely not autojumps, it affects every jumps when it happens.

This. It happened like 5 times to me; and i can confirm it disappears on death. Again, if we could find a way to do it on demand, it could be great.
