Unlike last time a topic like this got posted, this was a runner request Games affected are: Addams Family NES, Cobra Triangle, Journey to Silius, Power Blade, and Solomon's Key, none of which have any runs anymore and are thus no longer in the game list at all. The game pages thus no longer exist, although the update writeups still do, so those links are simply broken. He's indicated that he doesn't want to discuss why he made this decision, so yeah. Best of luck to him in the future.

Uyama edit: Nevermind, they're back on the site, except for Cobra Triangle which Khanaphone beat, and Solomon's Key which he improved himself.

ktwo is one of my favorite runners. His runs are always ridiculously high quality. I am very sad to hear about this. Whatever his reason, this was a very mature way to handle this.

Anything you can tell us about the reasons he wanted his stuff pulled? I didn't really know any of the games he ran, but I had a couple of conversations with the guy and he seemed decent enough. Sad to just randomly lose someone's runs like this.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

I agree with everyone, this sucks especially since ktwo was such a nice guy and had some great runs. Cobra Triangle is still run of the year 2009 if you ask me. Sad

Never meant to imply otherwise. Just a bit confused / saddened by the whole thing. In the cases I know of where people have pulled their runs they've had a long history of conflict with people here and, frankly, they've not been much of a loss - but that's not the case with ktwo. I'm kind of struggling to even guess at what the motive could've been in ktwo's case.

It may be that he wanted to avoid potential discrimination from employers with negative opinions of those who play video games. IIRC, that's why LeCoureur had his Super Mario 64 run taken down. It's also why some people don't use their real names. I'm not saying that this is the case with ktwo, but it's one possibility, since you were wondering.

I have such a common name I don't have this problem. If it was as simple as that though, he'd probably be open to talking about it (unless he's becoming a spy). In any case, it's very sad to see these runs go.

it's hilarious to me because it's like ... why would anyone ever want to be employed by someone like that. sounds more like a great way to screen out potential employers.

I just wanted to say that I have really appreciated ktwo as a runner. His runs and his streams were always top notch. Cobra Triangle will probably never be done faster and I'm still in awe of what he's done with Adventure Island. His contributions meant a lot to me and he was always a very nice guy to interact with. I respect his decision and am very sorry to see him go. I wish him all the best for the future.

Sucks that we're losing a bunch of good runs, but I can understand the decision. Hope he does well in whatever he's got up next.

I considered this, but then why not just ask to have his real name removed from the pages? Unless he didn't realise that was allowed nowadays.

Can I suggest that we stop trying to figure out why he wanted the runs removed? He deliberately chose to not share so that it wouldn't become pointless forum drama. Whatever his reasons are, they are his alone.

this is sad to hear, i hope he fares well in his endeavors and that whatever caused him to want his runs taken down doesn't trouble him further in the future

hopefully his runs are still up on archive.org? i'll probably still go and watch the silius run there periodically cuz hot diggity that is sucn an insanely good run

Wow, ktwo was always one of my favorite players as well. He took some personal favorite games to the level we should all strive for, and was always friendly.
