No, you're not reading that wrong. Nintendo finally announced the new Kirby title - Kirby's Epic Yarn. Yarn?! Man, looking at the video, it's quite...bizarre. The graphics have a style that reminds me a lot of Yoshi's Story (from the N64). He doesn't appear to inhale, but grabs enemies and the background with a yarn whip, or something like that. It also has a partner system similar to Kirby Super Star (either AI controlled or via a 2nd controller)

Glad to see this game that's been in development hell for the last 5 years or so finally see the light of day. I was still kinda hoping for a Amazing Mirror style multiplayer game. Sad

We'll see what we get in Fall 2010.

i was a bit meh towards this game compared to the other kirbys. seems weird to have the words epic and yarn in the same sentence unless MercuryZelda and DJGrenola are on the chat

While they should've came up with a better title, I think the game looks kinda fun. I'll at least check it out but I can't say I wouldn't have been more excited for a more traditional-style Kirby game.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

I honestly thought the game had some of the best graphics and animation I've seen in years. The style is very distinct and original, and the animation was silky smooth.

Of course, this says nothing about the game itself.

Especially the fight against this kind of firebird looked amazing. This could be a second Yoshi's Island in terms of graphics and introduce something completely new no one expected.

Yeah, I'm definitely impressed with how the game looks. I'm actually excited to play it, hopefully I wont be disappointed.

Of course, I never it was wrong with that, at least this game doesn't use the same recycled sprites I've seen from the past 4 Kirby games (NiD -> Super Star Ultra).

Silver Hawk!

When Kirby unzipped that building, I was sold. I'm not a huge fan of a hollow Kirby but the awesome backgrounds make up for it.

I want a Castlevania with that kind of whip action.

i haven't watched anything about this game but i think the title is great as well. the fact that they were able to use the word epic and i didn't immediately cringe is something

Though I'm wondering if all of those little gems in the levels, if the game tallies them, and if there's some sort of 100% for getting them all, because that could at least add some challenge.
