Kentucky Speedrun Marathon (Interest Thread)

Games!

A couple of us in Lexington, KY want to have a local speedrun marathon. Anyone around the area interested? We've got a few options for venues here, depending on how many people want to come. We did one last year at Kefka14's house (Kentucky Fried Marathon), but want to do something bigger this time.

Lexington is most convenient for us, but we should meet wherever is most central to everyone, so let me know where you're coming from.

There's no date in mind atm. While we could do one before the end of the year. Next April or later is much more likely.

I'm from Louisville, I'd be down to support this. Depends on how close to Bluegrass parkway you do this though. I don't want to go too far.

I'd be down for that! I'm about two hours away in Somerset. I would just need the dates pretty early so I could get off work lol

It helps me keep track of things.

As for dates, won't be till at least next summer. Once things start coming together. I'll post here with any information.

I'll keep my options opened for now. I'm from Mt. Zion in Independence, but I usually don't travel far on the highway. Right now, I decided to take part in the Scrubathon IV that'll be held in December; if my submissions get accepted and this gets held around the time of the Marathon, I probably won't be able to go. I also need to put a day off for this if I do go. I the mean time, I'll keep in touch.

As of this post, 10 people have filled out the form. Given any arbitrary date, I'd expect maybe half to show up, but a few more who hear about it from promoting it.

My plan was to wait until after AGDQ 2016 to start picking a venue. Also need to see when RPG Limit Break is, as I'll likely attend that, so need some time in between.

There's also the Speed Running eXpo set for next March. It's in Tennessee
