Current news: Since Kenny's birthday is coming up, he's going to be doing a stream in celebration, consisting mostly of speedruns. Have a schedule!
---
Kenny got all his equipment sorted out, and can now record and stream every non-handheld console he owns.
To celebrate this, he will hold two small streaming events.
First, he has invited a few people for a small streaming get-together, coming to you on Saturday, the first of December!
ESA celebrities (yeah, sure) KennyMan666, WERY, IrregularJinny, ozzy88 and Airrider team up to bring you a day of streaming, of course with a focus on speedruns, but maybe with some non-speedrun playing thrown in for your (and our) entertainment.
Games featured are, among many others, likely to include (if everything works as we hope it will) Mega Man X, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Akuji the Demon, Battle Kid and Symphony of the Night! We don't have a schedule, but we'll try to at least know what the next game will be.
Next up, on December the 15th, Kenny has noone invited. But he'll be streaming ten games on his own that day! The 17th of December, you see, is the 25th anniversary of Mega Man. Kenny has loved Mega Man since forever. But the 17th is a Monday, which would be a bad day for Kenny to do extended streaming. Sundays aren't that hot for that either.
So on the Saturday, December the 15th, Kenny will celebrate Mega Man's anniversary by streaming as he plays through Mega Man 1 to 10! Kenny is however not a Mega Man speedrunner, and in some games he uses boss orders and things that are decidedly not speed-oriented. It's done only as a tribute to one of Kenny's favourite game series of all time.
Now, some of you might be a little disappointed to learn that the first 8 games will be played on Mega Man Anniversary Collection, rather than the hardware they were originally released for. The reason for this is that I only have access to one of them on the original hardware, and it's the PAL version either way. So all of the games will be played on the Wii. I might throw in Rockman & Forte as a bonus at the end, but I have even less access to that, so it would have to be on emulator. Okay, this is partly canceled. I remembered I'm invited to a christmas party in the afternoon/evening, which means I definitely don't have time to play through all ten games unless I start ungodly early - but I might do the first three. I'll let you know.
These will all be streamed to my twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/kennyman616
Can also be watched in my live stream thread: http://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/wherein_kenny_runs_things.html
Exact times for when the stream will start for these isn't completely clear yet, but you'll know here and on IRC when we start.
Neither of these two events are done for any charity or anything. If you feel like you want to donate, then save that money and donate it during any of mine or Jinny's games at AGDQ instead!
So if you feel like tuning in, then we'll see you this Saturday!
