I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I suppose the topic doesn't help much, but it's hard to describe...
I have 2 separate versions of quake (not including quake II)
I have one that I got from ID, and one that my friend sent me.
The one that I got from ID just has one folder (Says "Quake RM")
Then there's one file in it, called "quake.exe"
I run it, but it just opens a command prompt window, flashes text real quick, then exits before I can read it.
The other one that my friend sent me has a whole bunch of files in it. It has like, quake.bat, quake.exe, qupdate, pak0.pak, etc. It looks like it should work.
But for some reason, no matter what I click, nothing happens (with the exclusion of one file, which basically just asks me "Do you wish to overwrite [file]?"
I did that, and it just replaces all the files with the same files, and doesn't really do anything.
I have a feeling that it may be due to the fact that I'm on WinXP. Should I run it through dosbox? Or do I have a bad version?
