Intrusion 2 - Looking for an allie

I need some help theory-crafting and whatnot, or general speed-running tips while playing this singe player game (talking over skype (I can stream the game if you do not feel like buying the game))

Hey,
I have the game, and I'm also interested in speedrunning. I don't have experience at all though, I've never done any speedruns, but I guess it could be interesting to just find the fastest route, and maybe even some bugs or glitches. At the moment I don't have alot of time, but you might hear of me during a school break. I'm in the EU zone too, that's pretty convenient. Anyway, on which mode will you speedrun it? I haven't beaten it on normal yet, so I need alot of practicing ^^" Also, my English sucks, sorry for that.

I was thinking Casual, since it's fastest, it makes the game more about the fastest path to go around instead of fastest way to kill an enemy, I think that will be the best

I guess every difficulty is a separate category with different splits.
I've been having an extreme lag problem though.
Not a frame rate lag, it's the execution of my controls that sometimes comes about 5-6 seconds late. This realy destroys a run and discourages me to speedrun any further.
I've been practicing stage 1 and 2 on normal, but I can't get past Grabber becouse of the occasional lag. I'll do a full run once I've resolved the problem.
Anyway, do you use a timer/split program? Which one?

I resolved the problem, but i'm forced to play windowed. It sucks becouse I might click ouside of the window which pauses the game.

0:05 You can skip the nuclear scene if you press restart as soon as your health bars appears.
0:18 Shoot that snowball so the sphere-thing can bounce on it and you can jump over the ice spike.
0:35 Wait for two spheres and jump to the ledge.
0:46 Jump on the jet pack guy's head and you can reach the ledge.

Also if you reload your last checkpoint (restart) you will get full health (can be useful).

Wow, thanks, I didn't even think about using enemies as platforms.

the first ice pillar you jumped over can be taken out before you reach it, i think it's better to take it out with the pistol then jump on on the ice to obtain the SMG, will record some progress myself

over all extremely good job, was having problems with the spheres aligning (at 0:35) propperly, really helpful video!

I'll see if I can get it on video.
It does have a pretty tricky end though, and there are no big skips by jumping on enemies.
I think its best to pick up alot of ammo for the grabber. He might take a realy long time with only the pisol.

And about the jetpack guy, I don't think his pattern is the same every time, so it's just luck based, I guess. Good thing there's a checkpoint nearby so you can quickly reset. And you can't ride him, you fall off too quickly. You just need to get him in the right position.

Sorry, I don't realy have much time now, I have to go in about 20 - 30 minutes (when my mom gets home lol)
But if you can get the stream up quickly enough, we might have enough time to practice and discuss a bit.

Also I got a perfect run on stage one (ofc I didn't record, cause I'm a dumbass)

So you only need the one sphere at the second rock, also you CAN ride the jet pack dude enough to get to the ledge, I did both in one round
